Exploring Outside of Paris…
Venture just outside of Paris to places like the medieval city of Provins, which
in June has roses in full bloom, and the royal château at Fontainebleau. All of
the Ile-de-France region is accessible for free with your Navigo card!

Or, take a weekend getaway to an island in Brittany such as Belle Île en Mer
or to Le Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy, or to a city like Marseille or an
island like Ile de Porquerolles on the Mediterranean…

The BU Paris website offers tour guides of famous spots in Paris, tourist
sites around the Ile-de-France region, and major cities around France. Many of
these guides are student tested, so make sure to look at them for ideas!

Please remember as well that the Cultural Passport covers any French-related
activities, including those outside of Paris.

If you have any questions, contact Elisabeth at siewert@bu.edu
