The 2022 Season: This season has many large track developments planned as we prepare to host the Canada Cup Aug 5-7th, 2022. This is the first time in Saskatchewan history that the BMX Canada Cup has been hosted in this province and we at Diamond BMX are honored to be the youngest club provided this opportunity. The Canada Cup will bring elite riders from across Canada to our community and showcase the exciting sport of BMX racing. À propos du Diamond BMX Club Le Diamond BMX Club Inc. La saison 2022 : Cette saison, de nombreux développements importants sont prévus sur la piste alors que nous nous préparons à accueillir la Coupe du Canada du 5 au 7 août 2022. C'est la première fois dans l'histoire de la Saskatchewan que la Coupe Canada de BMX est accueillie dans cette province et nous, à Diamond BMX, sommes honorés d'être le plus jeune club à avoir cette opportunité. La Coupe Canada amènera des coureurs d'élite de tout le Canada dans notre communauté et mettra en valeur le sport passionnant de la course de BMX. REGISTRATION | INSCRIPTION All Elite, Junior & Junior Development riders must pre-register online. Day-of registrations will NOT be accepted at this event for these categories. On-site registrations may be accepted the evening before the event at the discretion of the President of the Commissaire Panel or Technical Delegate and will incur a late registration fee of $50 for all Elite, Junior and Junior Development racers. EVENT RULES/LICENSES | RÈGLEMENTS / LICENSES UCI Regulations and CC specific regulations will be enforced for all Canada Cup Categories. The Saskatchewan Cycling Association BMX Race Regulations will be enforced for all Challenge categories. Valid UCI international licenses are required for all categories. Holders of UCI international licenses that do not bear a photograph will be required to present an approved and valid government photo ID in addition to their UCI license. PRIZES/POINTS | BOURSES / POINTS Championship Class Prize money will be awarded as per the 2022 UCI regulations and 2022 UCI Financial Obligations (see table below). Canada Cup Series points will be awarded as outlined in the table below. UCI points will be awarded to Elite & Junior Elite athletes as outlined by the UCI for C1 classification events (see table below). Sunday’s Canada Cup race is a Cycling Canada National Calendar race and therefore does not award UCI points to Championship riders. RACE PACKAGE PICK-UP | DISTRIBUTION DE PAQUETS DE COURSE Package pick-up will be available at the registration office on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (see schedule). Race packages can be picked up by the rider or a representative; however, the rider’s UCI licence must be presented to pick up the package. If the package is being picked up by a representative, they must have a valid UCI Licence. See the full weekend schedule below for Race Office hours of operation. A block of Team Training time slots of 1 hour each is available on Friday, August 5, 2022 from 12h00 – 15h00 on a first come – first serve basis. Team parking is located beside the ball diamonds where Tent City has been set up. We ask that everyone please refrain from parking in the lots of businesses to the west of the track as they may be open on the weekend of our event. Funded through Sport Canada and Own the Podium, the CCC is one of Canada’s oldest National Sport Organizations and strives to inspire Canadians to cycle. and event The Saskatchewan Cycling Association (SCA) is the not-for-profit provincial governing body for cycling. Funded through Saskatchewan Lotteries, the SCA provides opportunities for individuals to experience all forms of cycling through its member clubs. Under the umbrella of Sask Sport the SCA’s mandate is to develop athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers.
