corridor expansion in the Small’s Creek and Williamson ravines in conjunction with local efforts to
prevent clearcutting and protect the Small’s Creek and Williamson ravines’ ecosystems, and a broader,
system-wide commitment to environmental stewardship, ecologically sound transit expansion and
meaningful community consultation. Filed October 4, 2021.
2. Mr. Schreiner — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario shall immediately
declare a climate and housing affordability emergency with a commitment to address both through
complementary policies, including a massive expansion of affordable, infill housing development, the
creation of a “15-minute neighbourhood” framework to be utilized by communities across the province,
freezing urban boundaries to reduce sprawl, and the permanent protection of our farmland, wetlands, and

federal government and immediately conclude an agreement to implement $10-a-day, licensed, not-for-

overall strategy to help keep schools open for in-person learning, establish an Ontario Safe Schools plan

adequate spacing on school buses; regular testing and public reporting of classroom air quality; additional
learning supports for students adversely impacted by the pandemic; a robust in-school vaccination plan;
mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for eligible students and all education workers; and in-school

plan to address the housing crisis by aggressively investing in affordable rental housing and attainable

60,000 permanent supportive housing units accompanied by wrap around supports; creating a $100
million seed fund for co-operative housing; taking every opportunity to lease publicly owned land to
nonprofits, co-ops and other housing providers for permanently affordable housing and attainable home

steps to electrify the GO Train network on an accelerated timeline to replace dirty diesel trains along all

direct Metrolinx to introduce, based on international research and experience and in consultation with
local communities, safe alternatives to bell ringing at stations on the GO Barrie line, the Union-Pearson
Express Stations, and other GO Transit lines, to maintain the safety of transit users while protecting and

30. Ms. Stiles — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should make an
unprecedented investment in retrofitting public school infrastructure, making them energy efficient,

31. Ms. Stiles — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should work with school
boards and municipalities to establish minimum standards for school yard quality that encompass play

32. Ms. Stiles — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should direct the Ministry
of Education to develop an education recovery plan, informed by research conducted by the Future Skills
Centre, the Diversity Institute, the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, and Wilfred Laurier
University, and in consultation with education worker unions, school boards and other sector

33. Mr. Schreiner — That, in the opinion of this House, mental health is as important as physical health,
and therefore, mental health services under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan should be expanded
significantly in order to ensure that everyone can access the mental health care they need, in a timely
manner, without facing financial hardship. Filed February 22, 2022.
34. Ms. Andrew — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should amend the
Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (RTA) to offer better support to tenants who are being temporarily
evicted due to renovations (“renovictions”) and redevelopments (“demovictions”) by requiring
developers to: assist with moving logistics and costs; and either pay the difference in rent for a similar
unit in the same neighbourhood or provide a housing option deemed acceptable by the tenant that is
accessible until the primary residence can be reassumed by the tenant. Filed March 8, 2022.
35. Ms. Andrew — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should amend the
Hairstyling Program Standard to mandate culturally-responsive training specific to Black and textured
hair, and embed this within the Guidelines for the Film and Television Industry with specific timelines
for its full implementation, to promote health and safety in Ontario’s film, television and theatre sectors
for all performers, create Ontario jobs and build capacity in the province. Filed March 8, 2022.
39. Mr. Schreiner — That, in the opinion of this House, a Select Committee should be established to
develop a comprehensive plan to reform and strengthen the public appointment process in Ontario; and
That the Committee should be comprised of representatives from the Government, Official Opposition,
and Independent members, with no party holding a majority; and
That, in developing its plan and recommendations, the Committee should consider: including merit-based
criteria; standardizing transparency measures; making the results of Integrity Commissioner
investigations public when appropriate; adding a public complaints and investigation process; and
establishing goals to ensure diversity and gender parity in the selection process; and
That the Committee should present a report on its findings to the House no later than one year from its

40. Mr. Hassan — That, in the opinion of this House, the government of Ontario should respect the call
of Muslim communities, Londoners and Ontarians for concrete action to address Islamophobia and hate,
by committing to and providing a clear timeline and plan to bring Bill 86, Our London Family Act
(Working Together to Combat Islamophobia and Hatred), 2022 back from committee and urgently pass

41. Mrs. Stevens — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should, as part of an
effort to support Ontario-based manufacturers and their contributions to job creation and innovation,
direct the Ministry of Health to strengthen in-province drug procurement and evaluate purchasing groups

42. Ms. Park — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario, as part of its plan for
advancing opportunities for women and girls in sport, should match any financial support the Government
distributes for post-secondary scholarships in men’s sports with equal financial support for post-

43. Mr. Mamakwa — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should recognize
access to safe drinking water as a basic human right and develop a strategy to end all drinking water

44. Ms. Shaw — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should launch a
transparent and public review of the Permit To Take Water process, particularly for bottled water
operations, to ensure permitting provides for long-term stability, public use, and good watershed

45. Ms. Shaw — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should base all decisions
about water on our treaty obligations, public interest, and guaranteed access to sustainable water resources
for future generations, and should collaborate with Indigenous people, farmers, rural Ontarians, and
conservation authorities in developing a Provincial Water Strategy to protect our water, create jobs, and

46. Mr. Schreiner — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario must impose an
immediate moratorium on all new gravel mining approvals in Ontario, including interim orders and site
plan amendments for mining below the water table or that increase licensed tonnages until it undertakes
a broad consultation process that includes Indigenous nations, affected communities, independent experts
and scientists to chart a new path forward. Filed March 22, 2022.
48. Mr. Schreiner — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should immediately
begin treating the drug poisoning crisis as a health issue, not a criminal issue, that requires a
comprehensive public health response that includes working with the federal government to decriminalize
drug possession, shifting funding from the justice system to the healthcare system, creating health-
focused crisis response teams to respond to drug poisonings, and increasing investments in flexible
treatment options and harm reduction programs, including safe supply. Filed March 23, 2022.
49. Ms. Andrew — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should create a
provincial food strategy that includes affirmation of access to food, inclusive of fresh fruits and
vegetables, as a human right and culturally and regionally addresses marginal, moderate and severe food
insecurity for all Ontarians, including seniors, ODSP/OW recipients, BIPOC, artist and 2SLGBTQIA+
communities, fixed or low-income households, sole-parent families, persons with disabilities, injured
workers and others disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and the social determinants of health in
