prevent clearcutting and protect the Small’s Creek and Williamson ravines’ ecosystems, and a broader,
system-wide commitment to environmental stewardship, ecologically sound transit expansion and

2. Mr. Schreiner — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario shall immediately
declare a climate and housing affordability emergency with a commitment to address both through
complementary policies, including a massive expansion of affordable, infill housing development, the
creation of a “15-minute neighbourhood” framework to be utilized by communities across the province,
freezing urban boundaries to reduce sprawl, and the permanent protection of our farmland, wetlands, and

federal government and immediately conclude an agreement to implement $10-a-day, licensed, not-for-

overall strategy to help keep schools open for in-person learning, establish an Ontario Safe Schools plan
that includes effective rapid testing for students and education workers; smaller, capped class sizes and
adequate spacing on school buses; regular testing and public reporting of classroom air quality; additional
learning supports for students adversely impacted by the pandemic; a robust in-school vaccination plan;
mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for eligible students and all education workers; and in-school

6. Mr. Gates — That, in the opinion of this House, the Ford government should, out of respect for the
work done by Ontario’s nurses, PSWs and other public sector workers, immediately repeal Bill 124,

the public and municipalities, table legislation that gives municipal councils the ability to independently
institute measures to remove members of council who have been found guilty of serious acts of

16. Ms. Stiles — That, in the opinion of this House, the Ford Government should ensure that our publicly-
funded schools meet the needs of their local communities by removing restrictions (O. Reg. 20/98) on
the collection of Education Development Charges by the Toronto District School Board, and allow all
school boards to use revenue collected from Education Development Charges not only for land
acquisition, but also for school expansions, retrofits, repairs, and renewal projects. Filed November 17,

eight other Canadian provinces and ensure PSA testing for preventative prostate cancer diagnoses is an

of the Planning Act and regulations to allow for Ontario municipalities’ Official Plan Inclusionary Zoning

by the Ontario Government’s provisions under the More Homes, More Choice Act, 2019. Filed December

jurisdiction of the Condo Authority Tribunal in 2022 so the tribunal can hear and rule on the issues that

plan to address the housing crisis by aggressively investing in affordable rental housing and attainable

60,000 permanent supportive housing units accompanied by wrap around supports; creating a $100
million seed fund for co-operative housing; taking every opportunity to lease publicly owned land to
nonprofits, co-ops and other housing providers for permanently affordable housing and attainable home

steps to electrify the GO Train network on an accelerated timeline to replace dirty diesel trains along all

direct Metrolinx to introduce, based on international research and experience and in consultation with
local communities, safe alternatives to bell ringing at stations on the GO Barrie line, the Union-Pearson

boards and municipalities to establish minimum standards for school yard quality that encompass play

of Education to develop an education recovery plan, informed by research conducted by the Future Skills

33. Mr. Schreiner — That, in the opinion of this House, mental health is as important as physical health,
and therefore, mental health services under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan should be expanded
significantly in order to ensure that everyone can access the mental health care they need, in a timely
manner, without facing financial hardship. Filed February 22, 2022.
34. Ms. Andrew — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should amend the
Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (RTA) to offer better support to tenants who are being temporarily
evicted due to renovations (“renovictions”) and redevelopments (“demovictions”) by requiring
developers to: assist with moving logistics and costs; and either pay the difference in rent for a similar
unit in the same neighbourhood or provide a housing option deemed acceptable by the tenant that is
accessible until the primary residence can be reassumed by the tenant. Filed March 8, 2022.
35. Ms. Andrew — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should amend the
Hairstyling Program Standard to mandate culturally-responsive training specific to Black and textured
hair, and embed this within the Guidelines for the Film and Television Industry with specific timelines
for its full implementation, to promote health and safety in Ontario’s film, television and theatre sectors
for all performers, create Ontario jobs and build capacity in the province. Filed March 8, 2022.
36. Ms. French — That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should commit to a
strategy to improve accountability and care for aging Ontarians in long-term care and retirement homes,
including but not limited to: involving family councils in care decisions; incorporating individualized
care plans that consider the cognitive, behavioural, cultural, psychological, nutritional and physical needs
of residents; ensuring that payments of fines and penalties incurred by for-profit providers cannot come
from funds transferred to agencies by the province; and ensure that the proactive inspection criteria will
at least meet the criteria of the cancelled Resident Quality Inspections (RQI) and clearly outline the
protocols for such inspections. Debated and vote deferred March 31, 2022.
37. Ms. Monteith-Farrell — That in the opinion of this House, the government of Ontario should
immediately develop and implement a strategy to address the physician shortage in Northwestern Ontario
that includes a plan to increase training opportunities at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine
(NOSM), recruit new doctors to the area, and retain those already serving the community to better meet
the needs of the region. Filed March 8, 2022.
39. Mr. Schreiner — That, in the opinion of this House, a Select Committee should be established to
develop a comprehensive plan to reform and strengthen the public appointment process in Ontario; and
That the Committee should be comprised of representatives from the Government, Official Opposition,
and Independent members, with no party holding a majority; and
That, in developing its plan and recommendations, the Committee should consider: including merit-based
criteria; standardizing transparency measures; making the results of Integrity Commissioner
investigations public when appropriate; adding a public complaints and investigation process; and
establishing goals to ensure diversity and gender parity in the selection process; and
That the Committee should present a report on its findings to the House no later than one year from its

40. Mr. Hassan — That, in the opinion of this House, the government of Ontario should respect the call
of Muslim communities, Londoners and Ontarians for concrete action to address Islamophobia and hate,
by committing to and providing a clear timeline and plan to bring Bill 86, Our London Family Act
(Working Together to Combat Islamophobia and Hatred), 2022 back from committee and urgently pass
