Tips & tricks

n After the first popping cycle, wait for approximately 10 to 12 minutes before using the Popcorn
Maker again.
n Place a small amount of butter in the Measuring Cup during the popping process and allow the
butter to melt.
n Never put butter in the Aluminum Heating Chamber.
n If the butter isn’t entirely melted after the duration of popping, leave the machine on for a few
more minutes to let the hot air melt the butter.
n Do not exceed one Measuring Cup of kernels in one cycle as this will overfill the machine.

                   Kernels Popped Corn

 ½ Measuring Cup 8 cups

Using your Fresh Pop Popcorn Maker

NOTE: Wipe the Popcorn Maker and parts with a damp cloth prior to use. Dry before using.
WARNING: DO NOT put butter into the Aluminum Heating Chamber.
CAUTION: Aluminum Heating Chamber will get very hot. NEVER insert fingers into the
chamber while operating, or after use.

1 Assemble the Popcorn Maker by placing the Top Cover
onto the Body until it clicks into place, then set the Popcorn
Maker on a flat and stable surface.

2 Using the Measuring Cup, add one Measuring Cup of
kernels into the Aluminum Heating Chamber through the
Popcorn Inlet. Note: One cup is enough; any more will
overfill the Popcorn Maker and will keep the appliance from
                           functioning.

3 Put the Measuring Cup back on the Top
Cover after each use. You have the option to
place a tablespoon of butter into the Measuring Cup as it
will melt during the popping period.

10
Using your Fresh Pop Popcorn Maker

4 Place a large bowl under the Spout so that
the edge of the bowl is touching the Body of
the Popcorn Maker. Be sure that there is
nothing blocking the Spout so the popcorn
       can eject properly.

5 Switch the appliance on by pressing the Power
       Button.

6 After a few minutes, the Popcorn Maker
will start making popcorn. It will continue to
operate until all the kernels are popped. The popping
cycle will last for about three minutes.

Caution: The Popcorn Maker will heat up; refrain from
touching the Top Cover or Measuring Cup as they will
       be very hot.

                                                               11
Using your Fresh Pop Popcorn Maker

7 Once popping is complete, turn off the unit by pressing
the Power Button to Off, then unplug the unit.

8 Once the Popcorn Maker has cooled, carefully remove
the butter-filled Measuring Cup and pour the melted butter
over the freshly popped popcorn. Mix the popcorn well to
          distribute the butter evenly.

12
Cleaning & maintenance

1 Unplug the unit before cleaning and/or disassembling.

2
Make sure the Popcorn Maker has cooled down completely before
disassembling and cleaning.

3
Clean the Body of the Popcorn Maker with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive
products as they could damage the Popcorn Maker.

4 The Top Cover and the Measuring Cup can be cleaned in warm, soapy water.

5 Store unplugged Popcorn Maker in a safe, dry place, and out of reach from
    children.

                                                                                   13

Air-popped popcorn is the fun, delicious addition to an otherwise straightforward
chocolate chip cookie. If you’ve forgotten to set out your butter to soften, you can
grate it on a box grater into your mixing bowl for instantly soft shreds.

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
2 tbsp canola oil
½ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 cup whole-wheat pastry flour
¾ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp table salt

medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture to but-
ter mixture; beat at low speed just until combined. Add popcorn and chocolate chips;
beat at low speed just until combined.

These homemade candies combine rich chocolate with crisp, sweet-spiced air-
popped popcorn. You’ll need to lightly crush the popcorn into smaller pieces so
they’ll adhere better to the chocolate, and make sure to melt some coconut oil into
the chocolate to help it set better.

Nonstick spray
1 tbsp powdered sugar
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp table salt
1½ cups air-popped popcorn
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 tsp coconut oil

1. In small bowl, whisk sugar, cinnamon, and salt. In medium bowl, lightly crush
popcorn; coat popcorn with nonstick spray. Sprinkle sugar mixture over popcorn and
toss to coat.
2. Line sheet pan with parchment paper or wax paper. Place chocolate and coconut
oil in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High, stirring every 30 seconds, until
melted, about 1½ minutes total. Spoon melted chocolate onto prepared sheet pan in
8 equal rounds, spreading each to 2½- to 3-inch circle. Immediately sprinkle popcorn
evenly over chocolate. Refrigerate 15 minutes or until set.

Chewy popcorn granola bars
Prep 10 min | Cook 5 min | Serves 12

 3 3 3

Popcorn stands in as the base of these sweet-salty-nutty granola bars instead of the
usual oats. It’s important to press the mixture into the pan quite firmly; if it’s loose,
the bars will crumble when you cut them. Store in an airtight container at room tem-
perature for two to three days, or in the freezer for up to one month.

7 cups air-popped popcorn ½ tsp table salt
¼ cup dried currants 1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup slivered almonds, toasted 1/3 cup unsweetened powdered almond
1/3 cup honey butter

1. Line an 8-by-8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or nonstick foil. In large bowl,
combine popcorn, currants, and almonds.
2. In small saucepan, stir honey and salt. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring fre-
quently to prevent scorching. Boil 1 minute, stirring almost constantly. Remove from
heat and stir in vanilla (mixture will sputter). Whisk in powdered almond butter until
smooth. Drizzle mixture over popcorn mixture and toss well to coat. Spoon mixture
into prepared pan; with slightly moistened hands or the bottom of a glass, firmly
press mixture into pan.
3. Let stand until set, at least 30 minutes. Using parchment paper or foil, lift mixture
out of pan. Cut mixture in half, then cut each half crosswise into 6 bars.

Serving size (1 bar): 80 Cal, 2 g Total Fat, 0 g Sat Fat, 99 mg Sod, 15 g Total Carb,
10 g Sugar, 2 g Fib, 2 g Prot.
