Itamar Borochov apporte un son unique.
Profondément immergé dans la tradition du
jazz, Itamar recherche ses racines personnelles
qui le conduisent à un amour sans cesse
croissant des sensibilités musicales arabes et
panafricaines. Résidant à New-York depuis
2006, il a étudié entre autres avec Junior
Mance, Charles Tolliver, Jimmy Owens, Cecil Bridgewater et il se produit régulièrement
dans les meilleurs clubs de la capitale.
Ce qui surprend immédiatement chez Itamar Borochov c’est cette invitation dans un
univers, dans un climat, grandiose, magnifique... un état dans lequel il vous aspire et vous
fait voyager dès les premières secondes.
Itamar Borochov brings a unique sound with him. Deeply immersed in the jazz tradition, Itamar’s
search for his personal roots results in an ever-expanding love for Arab and Pan –African
musical sensibilities.Living in New York since 2006, he has studied ,among others, with Junior
Mance, Charles Tolliver, Jimmy Owens, Cecil Bridgewater. He regularly performs in the best
music clubs of the capital city.
What is immediately surprising about Itamar Borochov is that he invites us into a universe, an
imposing and magnificent atmosphere … a state in which he aspirates us and make us travel in
an instant.

Synopsis reprend la scène ! Le groupe niçois fête
ses 25 ans d’existence et prépare son 5ème album,
avec un répertoire aux sonorités plus acoustiques…
Autour d’Éric Sempé et Marc Peillon, à l’origine du
groupe, se sont ralliés François Arnaud, violoniste,
et Cédric Le Donne, batteur. Le répertoire
est constitué principalement de compositions
originales, mais n’exclut pas quelques emprunts au
répertoire jazz affectionnés par tous...
Synopsis band returns to the stage ! The band from Nice is celebrating its 25 years of
existence and is working on its 5th album with a more acoustic sound repertoire. Éric Sempé
and Marc Peillon, the co-founders of the band were joined by violonist François Arnaud and
drummer Cédric Le Donne. The repertoire mainly includes original compositions with some
popular borrowings from jazz music…

Fille d’un pasteur itinérant, Rhoda Scott a
grandi dans l’ambiance des petites églises
noires. C’est là, qu’elle a pris et gardé
l’habitude de jouer de l’orgue pieds nus,
ce qui lui a valu le surnom «The Barefoot
Lady», vite francisé en «L’organiste aux pieds nus» ! Son énergie, son charisme, sa voix,
enthousiasment un large public depuis plus de quatre décennies.
À l’aise quel que soit le contexte : musique classique, jazz, gospel et blues et douée
d’une mémoire exceptionnelle, elle peut jouer des centaines de thèmes, tout en étant
capable de composer une bonne part de son répertoire.
À l’occasion du festival Jazz à Vienne, elle crée en 2004 le Rhoda Scott Lady Quartet.
Daughter of an itinerant minister, Rhoda Scott grew up in the tradition of small African-
American churches. It is there that she got into the habit of playing the organ bare feet,
hence the nickname ‘The Barefoot Lady’ or ‘L’organiste aux pieds nus’ in French ! For four
decades now, a wide audience has enjoyed her energy, charisma and voice.
At ease whatever the repertoire : classical music , jazz, gospel or blues, she is gifted
with an exceptional memory which enables her to play hundreds of themes while being
capable of composing a large part of her repertoire.
At the festival ‘ Jazz à Vienne’, she formed the Rhoda Scott Lady Quartet in 2004

Aussi étonnant que cela puisse paraître avec leur notoriété internationale, ce duo ne

s’est jamais produit dans un festival sur la Côte d’Azur. Giovanni Mirabassi, pianiste au
style très personnel a remporté un Django d’Or et une victoire du Jazz la même année
(2002) et depuis il accumule les Disques d’Or.
Sarah Lancman remporte le concours international Shure Jazz Vocal de Montreux
en 2012, mais c’est sa rencontre avec Giovanni Mirabassi qui va lui permettre
d’enregistrer son premier album Inspiring Love. Elle va se présenter avec son trio
habituel, l’extraordinaire contrebassiste italien Gianluca Renzi et l’étonnant batteur
cubain Lukmil Perez. « Sarah Lancman, du velours dans la voix, le souffle des grandes,
la respiration juste des mots et des intentions ». C’est ainsi qu’André Manoukian la
décrit, lui qui est venu au Saint Jazz Cap Ferrat en 2016.
