Le polo a souvent été décrit comme étant le sport des rois ou
même le roi des sports. Quoiqu’il en soit, nul besoin d’être
une tête couronnée pour pouvoir y jouer, sa popularité s’étant
d’ailleurs accrue ces dernières années. On peut avoir le plaisir
d’y jouer en ayant tant un seul cheval que toute une écurie.
Le défi de ce jeu est d’allier l’habileté de l’athlète et du cavalier
aux efforts des montures dressées aux rigueurs du jeu.
Les tactiques de jeu s’apparentent à celles du soccer, du hockey
ou du football. Toutefois, c’est l’extraordinaire vitesse du sport
combinée aux contacts soudains des chevaux qui donnent au

The challenge of the game is to combine athletic ability and
expert horsemanship with the efforts of mounts trained for
the demands of the game. Game tactics are similar to those
of soccer, hockey and football. Yet, it is the terrific speed
combined with the body contact of the horses that makes polo
so appealing to spectators and players alike.
THE GAME
Snow Polo is a team sport played on horseback, each team
