Organized for the first time in 1939, the Bol d’Or has become the most important European
regatta on an inland lake. A large and popular nautical festival, the Bol d’Or Mirabaud has become one of
the great classics of the international regatta agenda. Each year, champions from all over Europe meet on
the starting line, in the company of nearly six hundred sailboats.
Organisé pour la première fois en 1939, le Bol d’Or est devenu la plus
importante régate d’Europe en bassin fermé. Grande fête populaire nautique,
le Bol d’Or Mirabaud est désormais aussi l’une des grandes classiques du
calendrier international des régates. Chaque année, des champions venus de
toute l’Europe se retrouvent sur la ligne de départ en compagnie de près de
six cents voiliers.
