Hello Catherine, thank you for your work on this. I just have one observation: in the introduction regrading Col Harvey’s
podcast, it states “working with gun crews”. I’m not sure where this introduction originates, however, in the artillery we refer to
the soldiers serving individual guns as ‘detachments’, other arms where multiple soldiers serve some weapon system refer to
them as ‘crews’, we do not. In today’s culture of terminological-inexactitude , it is important that, especially in widely circulated
media, we maintain correct usage of our corps terminology.

In answer to the inquiry, the coin depicted in this picture were first issued to members of V Battery, 5 RALC in the early 1980s.
They were numbered coins and I got number 100.
I do not know how many years these coins were produced or if they are still in production. In 1982-83, the coins were
distributed and controlled by the BSM, MWO Deroy, who later retired as a CWO. You should be able to get his contact
information through the associations of Les Anciens du 5 RALC, anciensralc@yahoo.ca . The President of this association is
LCol (Ret) Marc Tremblay.

The UBIQUE 150 commemorative coin (065) was
presented to Sgt Peter Lawrence in recognition of
his involvement in multiples project related to the
celebrations of UBIQUE 150 at the Royal Regiment
of Canadian Artillery School (RCAS). While the unit
was facing challenges as far as carrying out various
projects, Sgt Lawrence took the lead on multiple of
these projects so that the unit could proudly highlight
the celebrations surrounding UBIQUE 150.

a difference. She volunteered and graciously offered
many hours to complete the project
