INVITATION TO TENDER

The Nation Municipality is in the process of repairing the picnic shelter at the Rodolphe
Latreille Park, 63 Bénévoles Street, Limoges. The shelter is built of locally sourced
circular timber logs forming the post and beam style structure. The building is
approximately 27 feet wide by 48 feet long divided into 5 equally spaced frames.

The following work needs to be done:
   - One roof rafter (exterior end) is rotten & needs to be replaced.
   - Roof purlins near the damaged roof rafter is rotten & needs to be replaced. This
        will also affect roof sheathing & metal roofing.
   - Knee brace (interior) near south-west corner is rotten & needs to be replaced.
   - Knee brace (interior) near north-west corner of building is rotten & needs to be
        replaced.
   - End of plate beam at south-east corner of building is rotten and will need to be
        repaired to prevent further deterioration.
   - Base of post at south-west corner is rotten. This post should be repaired to
        prevent further deterioration.
   - Base at post at north-west corner is rotten & post be repaired or replaced.
   - Base of post at south-east corner is rotten. This post should be repaired to
        prevent further deterioration.
   - Anchor bolt at base of post is not set in concrete foundation while the edge of the
        concrete foundation is damaged (spawled). The concrete foundation should be
        repaired and anchor bolts re-anchored to the foundation.
   - Approximately 50 % of the OSB needs to be changed as it is rotten.
   - New metal roofing.
   - Install eaves troughs and a drainage pipe in the ground ran to the ditch at the
        edge of the property.

You are hereby invited to submit a quotation for the work to be performed. If your firm is
interested in submitting a quotation, there will be a mandatory site visit on Wednesday
April 18th 2018 at 4:00 pm. Complete engineering directives & plans for repairs will be
provided that day as well as the tender package. All repairs must be completed and
the final inspection done by May 21st 2018.

Your quotation shall be returned to the municipal office on or before
April 23rd 2018 at 11 am in a sealed envelope identified as “Rodolphe Latreille Picnic
shelter repairs”.

The Corporation of The Nation Municipality reserves the right to accept or reject all or
any tender and also reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest
Tender.

INVITATION POUR SOUMISSION

La municipalité de Nation est en train de réparer le chapiteau au parc Rodolphe Latreille,
63 rue Bénévoles, Limoges. Le chapiteau est construit de rondins de bois circulaires
d'origine locale formant la structure de style poteau et poutre. Le bâtiment mesure
environ 27 pieds de largeur sur 48 pieds de longueur, divisé en cinq cadres équidistants.

Le travail suivant doit être fait:
- Un chevron de toit (extrémité extérieure) est pourri et doit être remplacé.
- Les pannes de toit près du chevron de toit endommagé sont pourries et doivent être
remplacées. Cela affectera également le revêtement de toit et la toiture métallique.
- «Knee brace» (intérieur) près du coin sud-ouest est pourrie et doit être remplacée.
- «Knee-brace» (intérieur) près du coin nord-ouest du bâtiment est pourrie et doit être
remplacée.
- La poutre de la plaque au coin sud-est du bâtiment est pourrie et devra être réparée
pour éviter toute détérioration supplémentaire.
- La base du poteau au coin sud-ouest est pourrie. Ce poste doit être réparé pour éviter
toute nouvelle détérioration.
- La base du poste au coin nord-ouest est pourrie et réparée ou remplacée.
- La base du poteau au coin sud-est est pourrie. Ce poste doit être réparé pour éviter
toute nouvelle détérioration.
- Le boulon d'ancrage à la base du poteau n'est pas installé dans une fondation en
béton, alors que le bord de la fondation en béton est endommagé (frayé). Les fondations
en béton doivent être réparées et les ancrages ancrés à la fondation.
- Environ 50% de l'OSB doit être changé car il est pourri.
- Nouvelle toiture métallique.
- Installer des gouttières et un tuyau de drainage dans le sol jusqu'au fossé au bord de la
propriété.

Vous êtes invité à soumettre une soumission pour le travail à effectuer. Si votre
entreprise est intéressée à soumettre un soumission, il y aura une visite obligatoire du
site le mercredi 18 avril 2018 à 16h00. Des directives d'ingénierie complètes et des
plans de réparation seront fournis ce jour ainsi que le dossier d'appel d'offres. Toutes
les réparations doivent être terminées et l'inspection finale doit être effectuée par
le 21 mai 2018.

Votre soumission doit être retourné au bureau municipal au plus tard le
23 avril 2018 à 11 heures dans une enveloppe scellée identifiée "Réparation du
chapiteau Rodolphe Latreille".

La Corporation de la Municipalité de la Nation se réserve le droit d'accepter ou de rejeter
tout ou partie des soumissions et se réserve également le droit d'attribuer le contrat à un
autre que l'appel d'offres le plus bas.
