et contemporaine du Québec. Par ses services individuels et collectifs, il contribue
au développement de la communauté musicale et à son rayonnement local, national
et international. Le CQM remet chaque année les prix Opus afin de reconnaître et
promouvoir l’excellence des musiques de concert du Québec. Les lauréats jazz de la
dernière édition des Prix Opus sont L’Orchestre national de jazz invite John Hollenbeck
et Theo Bleckmann, ainsi que L’Orchestre national de jazz avec Christine Jensen pour
le disque Under the Influence Suite.
The Quebec Music Council is a non-profit organization bringing together Quebec’s
professional organizations and individuals working in the fields of jazz, classical,
contemporary and world music. The organisation offers individual and collective services
to its community, supporting the music community’s local, national and international
presence. The Quebec Music Council promotes concert music by awarding the Prix Opus
to Quebec’s best musical achievements. This year’s Jazz award winners are L’Orchestre
national de jazz invites John Hollenbeck and Theo Bleckmann, and L’Orchestre national
de jazz with Christine Jensen for the album Under the Influence Suite.
