Le team recherche et développement est constitué de quelques passionnés
très qualifiés et très expérimentés dans les domaines de la mécanique des
fluides et de l’ingénierie technique.
Pour fabriquer les meilleurs produits, nous utilisons à la fois les meilleurs
matériaux, mais aussi les meilleurs moyens techniques pour y parvenir. Un
nombre impressionnant de prototypes sont créés chaque année dans notre
quête de performance ! De nombreuses heures en atelier se traduisent par

PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIES
Every year, we invest many time to improve our production technologies. pre-PREG
Here a short presentation of technologies implemented to manufacture the ailerons SELECT.
PERFECT CONTROL
The specificity of SELECT Hydrofoils is that all the fins are molded inside metal molds with pre-preg
material from the aviation industry. This requires costly equipment! SELECT is the only manufacturer mastering
this production technique. Since 2013, we’ve been making full CNC machined products directly from prepreg
plates. Our new CAD / CAM software associated with out new large-framed high speed machining center
enable us to make new fins with a superior precision.
> The other fins of the market are made in epoxy or in polyester, hand-machined in gross material plates of 10 to 12 mm. The fi-
nishing is always done by hand, with its own share of uncertainty. There are no identical fins manufactured with these techniques !
The advantages of Select technologies :
• 1 / The molding and machining ensure a high-precision manufacturing and a constant production;
• 2 / Thanks to the use of pre-preg, we can put back-ups in different materials and in different directions
to get the twist and flex values we’re looking for;
• 3 / Thanks to the molding and machining, the rigidity is controlled, whatever the length of the fin.

Voici en quelques lignes la présentation des technologies mises en œuvre pour fabriquer les ailerons SELECT.
La spécificité de SELECT Hydrofoils est que tous les ailerons sont moulés dans des moules métalliques avec des
matériaux pre-preg issu de l’aviation. Cela nécessite des équipements couteux! SELECT est le seul fabricant à
maîtriser cette méthode de production. Depuis 2013 nous réalisons des produits usinés full CNC directement
dans des plaques de pre-preg. Nos nouveaux logiciels de CAO / FAO combinés à notre nouvelle fraiseuse UGV
grand format nous permettent de proposer des nouveaux ailerons réalisés avec une très haute précision.

> Les autres ailerons du marché sont fabriqués dans des plaques en epoxy ou polyester brut de 10 ou 12 mm. La finition est tou-
jours faite manuellement avec sa part d’incertitude et d’imprécision. Aucun aileron produit avec ces techniques n’est identique !
