• Adjust the language to the age and stage of development of the child.
• Let the child speak and give him time to express himself.
• Make short sentences, clear and simple; avoid technical terms.
• Transfer the main information several times without overpowering the
parents and the child.
• Allow the child to tell what he has understood.
• If possible, talk at the same height of the child!
