Depuis nos débuts, nous avons été soutenus par les plus grands du monde des affaires, de la politique, des sciences

Bal de St. Mary 2019
2019 St. Mary's Ball
Depuis près d’un siècle, la communauté du Centre hospitalier de St. Mary a uni les Montréalais et les Montréalaises
autour de cet événement historique ancré dans la tradition et présenté comme l’une des activités caritatives les plus
célèbres et les plus réputées de notre ville. La 82e édition du Bal de St. Mary, qui a eu lieu le vendredi 1er novembre
2019 à la Salle des pas perdus de la gare Windsor, a amassé 1 012 340 $ pour notre hôpital. La soirée de gala a été une
véritable célébration de tout ce que Montréal a de beau à offrir, dans le style grandiose de St. Mary.
For close to a century, the St. Mary’s Community has united Montrealers in this time-honoured event that is steeped
in tradition and touted as one of the most celebrated, reputable charity affairs in our city. The 82nd edition of the
St. Mary’s Ball held Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Salle des Pas Perdus of Windsor Station raised $1,012,340 for our
hospital. The black-tie evening is a true celebration of all of the good Montreal has to offer- in grand St. Mary’s style.

Tournoi des maîtres de St. Mary 2019
2019 St. Mary’s Masters Tournament
Plus de 200 golfeurs ont participé à la 27e édition du prestigieux Tournoi des maîtres de St. Mary, qui a eu lieu
le 10 juin au Club de golf Royal Montréal. Notre dévoué comité a travaillé d’arrache-pied pour s’assurer d’offrir
aux participants une journée mémorable et recueillir la somme record de 459 112 $. Les recettes du tournoi de
cette année nous permettent de mettre la dernière touche aux rénovations des installations de l’unité
d’hospitalisation et de soins palliatifs au 5e étage.
More than 200 golfers participated in the 27th edition of the prestigious St. Mary’s Masters, which took place June
10th at The Royal Montreal Golf Club. Our dedicated committee worked unfalteringly to ensure an outstanding day
for all participants and raised a record $459,112 NET! Proceeds from this year’s tournament allows us to complete the
renovation and expansion of our 5th floor in-patient and palliative care facilities.

Bal des Merveilles 2019
2019 Wonderball
Le 5e Bal des merveilles de St. Mary, organisé le vendredi 29 mars 2019 par les jeunes professionnels du Centre
hospitalier de St. Mary, a permis d’amasser 96 930 $ pour soutenir les technologies innovantes destinées à améliorer
les soins pour les patients atteints de cancer et leurs familles. Quelque 500 leaders et influenceurs de la communauté
ont vécu une soirée unique, empreinte d’élégance et de raffinement au Cirque Éloize, profitant de mets succulents
servis par les plus grands restaurateurs de Montréal et de divertissements de classe mondiale. Depuis le premier Bal
en 2014, la nouvelle génération de philanthropes de notre ville a amassé plus de 525 000 $ en soutien à notre hôpital.
Hosted by St. Mary’s Young Professional Group on Friday March 29, St. Mary’s Wonderball vol. V raised $96,930
to support innovative technology designed to improve care for cancer patients and their families. As many as 500
community leaders and influencers enjoyed a soirée of unprecedented style and glamour at Cirque Éloize, featuring
offerings from Montreal’s best restaurants and world-class entertainment. Since launched in 2014, the next generation
of philanthropy in our city has raised over $525,000 net to support our Hospital.

2019 Girls for the Cure
Pour son 25e anniversaire, la marche « Un pas vers la guérison » de St. Mary a recueilli plus de 126 000 $ pour les
cancers féminins! Des étudiantes des écoles Miss Edgar et Miss Cramp (ECS), Lower Canada College (LCC), Sacré-Cœur
de Montréal, The Study et Trafalgar pour Filles ont recueilli des promesses de don avant d’entreprendre le 26 septembre
une marche de 5 km de leurs écoles respectives jusqu’au stade commémoratif Percival Molson. Elles y ont été rejointes
par des invitées de marque, notamment Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, unies dans une formidable manifestation de soutien,
sachant que leurs efforts avaient un impact direct sur la recherche et les traitements des cancers féminins, et les taux
de survie des femmes qui luttent contre le cancer.
The 25th Anniversary of St. Mary’s Girls for the Cure raised more than $126,000 for women-related cancers! Female
students from Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s School (ECS), Lower Canada College (LCC), Sacred Heart School of Montreal,
The Study and Trafalgar School for Girls gathered pledges before making the 5k trek on September 26th from their
school campuses to Percival Molson Memorial Stadium. They were joined by special guests, notably Sophie Grégoire
Trudeau, and gathered in a powerful show of support, knowing their efforts directly impact research, treatments and
survival rates for women fighting cancer.

Soins d’hémodialyse axés sur les patient
Bien des personnes ont besoin de traitements vitaux sur une base régulière, et pour elles, le Centre hospitalier
de St. Mary est un peu comme la maison. Notre clinique d’hémodialyse soigne 94 patients, 3 fois par semaine, et
chaque séance de dialyse dure environ 4 heures. Avec l’aide des auxiliaires de St. Mary, nous faisons l’acquisition
de 20 nouveaux postes d’hémodialyse avec fauteuils thérapeutiques conçus pour offrir plus de confort tout en
respectant les besoins propres à chaque patient. Grâce à l’ajout d’un vélo stationnaire, les patients auront la
possibilité de pédaler pendant les traitements pour rompre la monotonie, prévenir les crampes et maintenir
une bonne pression artérielle.

Nous sommes fiers de notre lien avec l’Université McGill en tant qu’hôpital d’enseignement et de recherche de
pointe ayant statut officiel de CHAU. Notre impact sur l’avenir des soins de santé et de la médecine sociale est
immense. Au cours de la dernière année, le Centre hospitalier de St. Mary a assuré les stages de 1 677 étudiants en
médecine et résidents spécialisés en cardiologie, soins intensifs, dermatologie, endocrinologie, gastroentérologie,
médecine gériatrique, maladies infectieuses, médecine interne, néphrologie, neurologie, médecine préopératoire,
pneumologie, rhumatologie et immunologie. Alors que nous sommes résolument déterminés à participer à la
formation des travailleurs de la santé de demain, notre programme de résidence demeure l’un des plus recherchés
au Canada.

L’urgence du Centre hospitalier de St. Mary est le centre névralgique de notre hôpital. C’est là que commence
le parcours d’un patient à travers la filière de soins. Les professionnels de notre urgence travaillent en étroite
collaboration pour assurer la meilleure issue possible, et ce, malgré une montée de 18 % des visites en ambulance
cette année. Nous rehaussons la barre en matière de rendement et de qualité des soins pour assurer une
circulation harmonieuse des patients, réduire le temps d’attente et offrir un environnement réconfortant. Notre
équipe dévouée présente sur la ligne de front est là pour vous quand vous en avez le plus besoin.Hemodialysis patient-centered care St. Mary’s Hospital Center is like home for many who require life-sustaining treatments on an ongoing basis. Our Hemodialysis Clinic treats 94 patients 3 times per week, and each dialysis session habitually lasts 4 hours. With support from St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary, we are acquiring 20 new therapy chair treatment stations designed for greater comfort while respecting each patient’s individual needs. In the last year, St. Mary’s facilitated rotations for 1,677 medical students and specialty residents in cardiology, critical care, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, infectious diseases, internal medicine, nephrology, neurology, pre-operative medicine, respirology and rheumatology/immunology. Our residency- training program remains one of the most sought-after in Canada as we steadfastly commit ourselves to helping shape the future healthcare workers of tomorrow. Emergency medicine at it’s best St. Mary’s Emergency is the nucleus of our Hospital. From here begins a patient’s individual journey through their pathway of care. Our Emergency team of professionals work tightly together to ensure best possible outcomes despite an 18 % spike in ambulance visits this year. We raise the bar on efficiency and quality of care for seamless patient flow, reducing wait times and offering a comforting atmosphere.
