Sonatel keeps available its terrestrial transit thanks to its secured transmission bights from
Dakar to all the neighbouring countries (Gambia, Bissau Guinea, Conakry Guinea, Mali
and Mauritania).
Operators who have customers in the sub-region are able to extend their international capacities
with a diversity of speeds in half-circuit and complete circuit, ranging from 2 Mbits to 155 Mbits
and more.

Grâce à d’importants investissements dans les câbles sous-marins Atlantis 2, SAT3/WASC/
SAFE, Sea Me We 3, Colombus, et bientôt ACE (Africa Coast to Europe), Sonatel met à la
disposition de ses partenaires son offre de location de capacités à haut débit entre Dakar et les
principales stations d’atterrissement sur tous les continents.
Notre offre vous permet ainsi d’accéder à un très grand nombre de pays par le biais de
l’interconnexion entre plusieurs systèmes :

Les débits offerts vont jusqu’à 622 Mbits en demi-circuit ou en circuit complet, avec une option

en cas d’interruption d’un des câbles.

high spent capacities with high debit between Dakar and the main landing stations on all the
continents.
Our offer so allows you to reach a very large number of country by means of the interconnection
between several systems:

Le Hub Vsat de Sonatel couvre toute la sous-région et met à la disposition des opérateurs
partenaires des terminaux préposés à la vente ou en location maintenance.
Ces terminaux servent de passerelle et reposent sur le SkyEdge Pro. Ils permettent ainsi
de bénéficier d’accès Internet, de VPN pour l’interconnexion de sites et de téléphonie
par satellite.
Grâce à la solution Backhauling GSM/CDMA, Sonatel vous permet d’interconnecter vos BTS
se trouvant dans des zones non desservies par les réseaux filaires.

Le transfert de signalisation
Le transfert de signalisation de Sonatel permet d’acheminer la signalisation sémaphore par
ses Points de Transfert Sémaphore, ainsi que la signalisation Roaming et SMS, grâce à ses
partenaires internationaux.
SS7 fournit, dans le réseau téléphonique, une structure universelle pour la signalisation, l’envoi
de messages, l’interconnexion et la maintenance réseau. Il gère l’établissement d’appels,
l’échange d’informations utilisateur, le routage d’appels, la facturation et supporte les services
du réseau intelligent.
Roaming
Le roaming de Sonatel, propose des accords bilatéraux avec plusieurs opérateurs pour l’accès à
leurs services depuis l’étranger, et vous permet de :

• Bénéficier d’IOT préférentiels en fonction du volume de trafic échangé

VSAT et ServicesHub VSAT
Sonatel’s Hub Vsat covers the whole sub-region and puts at the disposal of its partner operators
some terminals for sale or for leasing and maintenance.
Those terminals serve as gateways based on the SkyEdge Pro. They allow Internet access,
VPN for site interconnection and satellite telephony.
Thanks to the Backhauling GSM/CDMA solution, Sonatel allows partners to interconnect their
BTS located in areas that are not served by the subsidiary networks.

Services, signaling transfer
The road marking SS7 is a means to exchange information between telecommunications
network’s elements. This is the method that uses switching of packages. Indeed the canal
semaphore (CS or SL for Signalling Link) forwards under the shape of called messages contrive
semaphores the information of road marking relating to circuits or to messages of management
and supervision.
SS7 supplies, in the telephone network, a universal structure for the road marking, the sending
of messages, the interconnection and the network maintenance. It manages the establishment
of calls, the user information exchange, the routing of calls, the invoicing and supports the
services of the intelligent network.
Roaming
Sonatel’s Roaming proposes bilateral agreements with several operators for the access to their
services since the strange, and allows you to :
• Incline a good quality of service
• benefit from preferential IOT according to the volume of exchanged traffic
• sign a single contract integrating all the subsidiaries of Sonatel
• to make benefit to his(her) customers to all the services offered on the mobile network
