We can imagine a film that is not only
built around tense dialogue of crucial
decision-making of the past and
the present, but also around the interesting
homophony between “drawing and
design”. The saga of Ariane perfectly
expresses the scale of the technological
race. Details of such a grand design
can be seen in the engineer’s drawing.
The film aims to unveil the fascinating
process behind the making of a
quasi-utopia. It will allow us to witness
the work that has been carried out over
the decades. A work of reflection, creation,
ingenuity, and delicate and concrete
choices, all in the effort to reduce what

Zabriskie Point will have its 50th anniversary
in February 2020. This will grab the
attention of the film as well as of the art
world. Seen from today the film reflects
contradictions of Western civilisation in
a surprising way: dissolving spiritual
experiences into politics, wilderness into
technology, economy into emptiness.
All these anchor points of everybody’s life
are engraved into a small love affair with
unusually laconic dialogues... culminating
in an excessive fantasy of destroying the
entire civilisation. The documentary
Blasting America shall introduce an
international audience to the dramatic as
unknown creation of ZP, embedded within

While I was doing some research for
another project, at the Polish Institute
of National Remembrance, I found some
reels that had been confiscated in the 70s.
I realized that even the authors of that
material had never seen it. The interviewed
person was the Jewish communist spy
Leopold Trepper. He has been a key figure
of the Polish history of the 20th century,
a public persona that was both admired
and despised in the West during the 70s,
and a prisoner of Stalin’s regime for ten
years. Trepper is a complex figure, PRODUCER’S

I investigated Iceland, sometimes called
“the women’s island” since the financial
crisis of 2008, where they played a key role
in rescuing their country. Did the storm
that hit Iceland so hard transformed the
small volcanic island into an opportunity
for change at a global scale? After 3 field
trips I chose to split the film around
3 women, each representing the politics,
the social and the business innovations.
The 3 “Katrins” are the 3 faces of a modern
saga where women rise up and fight PRODUCER’S
