Een nieuwe wielerlente, een nieuw geluid… opnieuw een nieuwe wielerkoers.
Dat Ichtegem een wielergemeente is, staat buiten kijf.
Er zijn weinig steden en gemeenten in de omgeving van Ichtegem die zoveel kwalitatief hoog-
staande wielerevenementen kunnen opnoemen.
Waar we dit jaar ook geweldig naar uitkijken, is de eerste editie van de Omloop van de Westhoek,
Memorial Stive Vermaut die ingericht wordt voor dames UCI 1.2.
Net als andere grote organisaties zoals Omloop het Nieuwsblad ,Ronde Van Vlaanderen, Dwars
door Vlaanderen werken we voluit mee aan het promoten van het dameswielrennen.
Meer dan 150 dames,vanuit alle hoeken van de wereld zullen in Ichtegem strijden voor de over-
winning in deze prestigieuze wedstrijd. Met start in Nieuwpoort krijgen de rensters in Ichtegem
tijdens de lokale ronden, met beklimmingen van de Lookhuisstraat en de Catteberg, een voorproef
voor de daaropvolgende voorjaarswestrijden zoals de Ronde van Vlaanderen. Ronkende namen uit
het internationale dameswielrennen hebben zich alvast aangemeld.
Wij hopen u te mogen verwelkomen langs het parcours in Nieuwpoort of Ichtegem en kijken samen
met u uit naar deze wielerdag.

Organisation / Organisatie “Omloop van de Westhoek” is being organised by KVC Ichtegem Sportief by the rules of the UCI and the KBWB. The competition takes place on March, 4 2018. “Omloop van de Westhoek” wordt georganiseerd door KVC Ichtegem-Sportief onder de reglementen van de UCI en de KBWB. De wedstrijd heeft plaats op 4 maart 2018. “Omloop van de westhoek” est organisé par KVC Ichtegem-Sportief sous les règlements de l’Union Cycliste Internationale et le KBWB. Il se déroule à 4 mars 2018. ARTICLE 2. Participation / Deelnemers / Participation “Omloop van de Westhoek” is open as per article 2.1.005 of the UCI regulations to the following categories of teams : Trade teams, national teams, regional teams, clubteams and mixte teams. The minimum number of riders per team is 5, the maximum number is 7. “Omloop van de Westhoek” staat volgens de UCI reglementering, 2.1.005, open voor volgende ploegen : Trade teams, nationale ploegen, regionale ploegen, clubploegen en mixte ploe- gen. De ploegen bestaan uit min 5 en max 7 rensters. “Omloop van de Westhoek” est ouvert, selon la réglementation UCI 1.2.005, aux équipes suivantes : Equipes trade, équipes nationales, équipes régionales, équipes de club et club mixte. Une équipe consiste en min 5 et maximum 7 coureuses. ARTICLE 3. Category / Categorie / Catégorie “Omloop van de Westhoek” is a cycle competition for ladies elite and is registred by the UCI, class 1.2 UCI points to win : 40 – 30 – 25 – 20 – 15 – 10 – 5 – 3 – 3 – 3. “Omloop van de Westhoek” staat open voor Dames Elite en staat bij het UCI geregistreerd onder klasse 1.2. Conform de UCI – regels zijn er volgende punten te verdienen : 40 – 30 – 25 – 20 – 15 – 10 – 5 – 3 – 3 – 3. “Omloop van de Westhoek” est ouvert aux Dames Elites et est enregistré à l’UCI sous classe 1.2. Conforme aux règles UCI des points sont accordés comme suit : 40 – 30 – 25 – 20 – 15 – 10 – 5 – 3 – 3 – 3. ARTICLE 4. Permanence / Permanentie The receipt permanence takes place on March 3, 2018 from 12:30 to 13:45. The handover of the body numbers to the team responsible takes place from 12:30 to 13:45. at the adminis- trational centre in Eernegem. The meeting with the team managers, UCI commissaries and the organisation takes place at 14:00 at the administrational centre Eernegem. De onvangstpermanentie heeft plaats op 3 maart 2018 van 12:30 tot 13:45. De overhandiging van de rugnummers aan de verantwoordelijke van de ploegen heeft plaats van 12:30 tot 14:00 in het administratief centrum in Eernegem. De vergadering van de ploegleiders, jury en organisatie is gepland om 14:00 in het administratief centrum te Eernegem. La permanence d’accueil se déroule le 3 mars 2018 12:30 à 13:45. Le retrait des dossards par les responsables d’équipes liceniés se fait de 12:30 à 13:45 au centre administratif à Ee- rnegem. La réunion entre les responsables sportifs , jury et organisation est prévue à 14:00 au centre administratif à Eernegem. ARTICLE 5. Radio-Tour The competition information will be broadcast on frequency “Radio-Tour” at 160.10625 MHz. De wedstrijdinformatie wordt uitgezonden op de frequentie “Radio-Tour” op 160.10625 MHz. Les informations courses sont émises sur la fréquence “Radio-Tour” de 160.10625 MHz. ARTICLE 6. Control sheet / Startcontrole / Contrôle de depart Each participating rider must sing the control sheet on the platform Vismijn Kaaistraat Nieuwpoort. Ieder deelnemend renner is verplicht eigenhandig het controleblad te tekenen op het podium Vismijn Kaaistraat Nieuwpoort. Chaque coureuse participante signe elle-meme la feuille de controle au Vismijn Kaaistraat Nieuwpoort. ARTICLE 7. Protocole The official awards ceremony for the first three riders and the winner of the super-preminien will be held directly after the finish at the podium nearby the finish line. De huldiging van de eerste drie rensters alsook de winnares van de superpremie worden direct na de aankomst gedaan op het podium aan de aankomstlijn. L’hommage des trois premières coureuses ainsi que celui de la gagnante le prix super be, aura lieu toute de suite après l’arrivée au podium de la ligne d’arrivée. ARTICLE 8. Time limits / Tijdslimiet / Limite de temps Time limit for the race is set at 8 %, every rider who hasn’t arrived within the limit isn’t taken to result. An djustement of the time limit can be made by the panel of commisioners. Alle renners welke de aankomstlijn overschrijden in een tijd hoger dan 8 % van die van de winnaar van de wedstrijd worden niet in de uitslag opgenomen. Een verhoging van de tijdlimiet kan door het College van Commissarissen toegstaan worden. Tous coureurs arrivant dans 8 % du temps du vainquer sont qualifier au classement. Le délais peut être augmenté par le Collège des commissaires. ARTICLE 9. Medical care / Medische zorg / Soin médical The medical care during the race will be done by Flemish cross. De medische zorg tijdens de wedstrijd wordt verzorgd door het Vlaamse Kruis. Les soins médicaux pendant la compétition sont fournis par la Croix flamande. ARTICLE 10. Penalties / Straffen / Pénalités Penalties are applied according to the UCI rules. Straffen worden toegepast volgens de UCI-reglementen. Les pénalités sont conformes au règlement de l’U.C.I. ARTICLE 11. Anti-doping / Anti-dopage The controle anti-doping takes place in the buildings of the school at the finish line. The rules anti-doping of the UCI and the belgian law apply. De anti-doping controle vindt plaats in de schoolgebouwen aan de aankomstlijn. Het anti-doping reglement van de UCI alsook de belgische wetgeving worden toegepast. Le contrôle anti-dopage a lieu aux bâtiments de l’école à la ligne d’arrivée. Le règlement anti-dopage de l’UCI et le loi Belgique se disposent. ARTICLE 12. Prices Total Prices is 1735€, given to the first 20 riders. Totaal prijzengeld is 1735€ toegekend aan de eerste 20 rensters. Super-sprint Gedimat-Tanghe gives away a super-sprint of 250 euros to the first cyclist to get up the slope at the Gedimat-Tanghe Vip tent at the ‘Lookhuisstraat’ in the last lap. Er wordt een super-sprint van 250 € geschonken aan de renster die in de laatste ronde als eerste bovenkomt op de helling ter hoogte van de Gedimat-Tanhge vip tent op de ‘Lookhuissraat’.
