ACCRÉDITATION :
La présente activité est une activité d'apprentissage collectif agréée (section 1), au sens que lui donne le
programme du Maintien du certificat du Collège royal des médecins et chirurgiens du Canada; elle a été
approuvée par l'Association des psychiatres du Canada. Les opinions et le contenu spécifiques de cette activité
ne sont pas nécessairement ceux de l'APC, et sont la responsabilité exclusive de l'organisateur ou des
organisateurs. Les participants peuvent recevoir 1 crédit par heure de présence aux sessions accréditées,
pour un maximum de 6 heures.

CONGRÈS ANNUEL :
En tant qu'organisation professionnelle concernée par l'avancement de la science et de la pratique en
psychiatrie légale, l'ACPD a mis sur pied un congrès annuel dans le but de promouvoir les normes de pratique
et de poursuivre le développement professionnel continu en psychiatrie légale. Le congrès annuel de l'ACPD
est une tradition depuis 1995. Tenu à chaque année au printemps, le programme principal se déroule
habituellement sur 4 jours avec le programme principal ainsi que des séminaires pré-conférence. Depuis
2015, des séminaires pré-conférence ont été développés afin de répondre au besoin des membres. Avec la
pandémie et l'annulation de notre conférence d'avril 2020, nous organisons une mini-conférence d'une
journée, qui promet d'être remplie de conférenciers dynamiques et de courtes mises à jour.

BUTS :
Ce congrès offre aux participants une excellente opportunité de rencontres virtuelles avec les collègues à
travers le pays et ainsi, d'échanger sur leurs intérêts cliniques, académiques ou en matière de recherche. Les
principaux objectifs de la conférence sont la diffusion des connaissances actuelles en psychiatrie médico-
légale ainsi que dans d'autres domaines apparentés de la psychiatrie, le rafraîchissement des compétences
dans les fondements de la discipline et le partage des progrès de la recherche pertinente.

À QUI S’ADRESSE LE CONGRÈS :
Les psychiatres travaillant en psychiatrie médico-légale, et tous les médecins et professionnels intéressés à
approfondir leurs connaissances dans ce domaine.

OBJECTIFS GÉNÉRAUX :
À la fin du congrès, les participants seront en mesure de :
     • apprécier la diversité de la psychiatrie légale incluant les affaires pénales et civiles;
     • discuter des cas cliniques complexes et de la jurisprudence récente;
     • mettre en oeuvre des programmes de traitement;
     • appliquer de nouvelles connaissances dans leur pratique.
