Avec environ quatre-vingts propositions de tous les genres et styles, du 10 au 13 septembre 2009 la Fira
se transforme à nouveau en un grand marché international des arts scéniques qui, étant donné le grand
éventail de genres et de formats, veut mettre l’accent sur les créateurs qui prennent l’espace public
comme référence ou sur ces spectacles qui pourraient difficilement être vus dans un théâtre convention-
nel. FiraTàrrega explicite sa volonté rénovatrice en même temps qu’elle devient un véritable territoire cré-
atif dans le circuit international qui se diversifie avec des lignes directes d’action comme par exemple les

Compartim la llum is Cia. Kiku Mistu’s
proposal to inaugurate FiraTàrrega 2009
with a special action, within the classic
line of the concept of happenings, see-
king the active participation of the spec-
tators through emotive expression and
collective performance. Transformed into
a master of ceremonies, Kiku Mistu oc-
cupies the centre of a large circular
space to construct a ritual act, in which
he tells two tales. During the narration he
seeks the complicity of the spectators.
This way, a series of magic, almost spi-
ritual, moments come about. Together
we make possible an initial act sharing
the light and opening the way to head to-
wards the festival of theatre with opti-
mism and positive energy.
Cia. Kiku Mistu Kiku Mistu defines him-
self as a poet of life, a lighter of life’s light,
a storyteller in search of an ending that
isn’t always happy. With a long artistic ca-
reer –sometimes provocative and always
original (L’home paquet, 1988; Falò-
meno, 1991; El llenguatge de les flors,
2002, etc)–, his aim is to make art a
means to understanding life. In 1995, he
founded the Centre Cultural Imaginari
with which he has undertaken an infinity
of multidisciplinary projects. He took part
with his company in the 2007 FiraTà-
rrega with an intimistic proposal of story
telling and Chinese shadows (Històries
per a homes i dones bons) that took
place inside a haima.
Compartim la llum est la proposition la Cie. Kiku
Mistu pour pour le début de FiraTàrrega 2009 avec
une action spéciale, dans la ligne et dans le concept
classique des “happenings” qui recherchent la par-
ticipation active des spectateurs à travers l’expres-
sion émouvante et la représentation collective.
Transformé en maître de cérémonies, Kiku Mistu
occupera le centre d’un grand espace circulaire
pour construire un acte rituel et magique au cours
duquel il expliquera deux contes. Au cours de la na-
rration il cherchera la complicité des spectateurs. De
cette façon, une série de moments magiques, pres-
que spirituels, se précipiteront. Ensemble nous ren-
drons possible un acte initiatique en partageant la

lumière et nous entreverront le chemin qui nous per-
mettra d’avancer vers la fête du théâtre avec opti-
misme et énergie positive.

Emotikon
This veteran Basque company offers us a sensitive adventure that takes place inside a dark space
designed especially for this show and to offer a different way of “seeing” reality. Emotikon is a blind
journey through human emotions and sensations in search of the light that is always at the end of
the tunnel. On this journey in small groups, the spectator becomes the centre of the stage, the real
protagonist of a unique experience: the journey that leads to one’s own inner world.
Cette vieille compagnie basque nous offre une aventure pleine de sensibilité qui se passe à l’intérieur d’un espace obscur des-
siné spécialement pour le spectacle et qui a pour objectif d’offrir une façon différente de “voir” la réalité. Emotikon est un
voyage d’aveugle vers les émotions et les sensations humaines à la recherche de la lumière qu’il y a toujours au bout du tunnel.
Au long de ce parcours qui se fait en petits groupes, le spectateur est au centre de la scène, le véritable protagoniste d’une
expérience unique: le trajet qui le conduit à son propre monde intérieur.

Trained in the Rogelio Rivel Circus School and the Fratellini Academy in Paris, Alba Sarraute is the total clown. Not only is she
clever and entertaining, but is also an expert in corporal and acrobatic techniques, plays the saxophone and takes us to a very
personal imaginary world. Mirando a Yukali is a feminine show that stimulates the soul with humour and circus that melds mu-
sical and cabaret techniques and incorporates texts by Miguel Hernández, Koltés, Rousseau, Saint-Exupéry, Baricco and
Brecht in a universal discourse that reflects the human jungle and does not aspire to answer any questions.
Formée à l’École de Cirque Rogelio Rivel et à l’Académie Fratellini de París, Alba Sarraute est un clown total. Elle n’est pas seulement ingénieuse et amusante mais en
même temps elle maîtrise pleinement les techniques corporelles et accrobatiques, elle joue du saxophone et nous transporte dans un très personnel monde imaginaire.

The golden ass
Like a medieval fable and with commedia dell’arte ingredients, this
street show by this Slovenian company tells the story as a universal
allegory about the common man, about growing, one’s own growth,
the search for personal limits and an agreeable formula for coexisting
with the cruelty of the world. Inspired by the classic work of the
Roman writer Apuleius, The golden ass is a tragicomedy in which a
young man leaves and to seek adventure and new experiences but
finds himself trapped in a spiral of cruel and humiliating events.

diévale et avec des ingrédients de commedia dell’arte, une allégorie universelle sur
l’homme commun, sur la croissance, la connaissance de soi, la recherche des limites

Artristras is one of the leading groups for the street arts in our country. Born in 1975
ARTRISTRAS out of their interest in traditional culture and the direct action of street theatre, the

an original viewpoint. Wasteland is a noisy street comedy that observes our societyʼs workings from the other side. A supplier,
a consumer, a few containers ... a vicious cycle that operates according to the standards established by the consumer society.

Carnage Productions is a French street arts company that has done over a thousand
performances all over France and around the world since 1991. GIGN is a clowning
and acrobatic parody of the famous television series SWAT which brightened up the
dull nights in this country in the 1970s. A special intervention group whose mission
is to find the most adequate problem for every solution and who have a mission but
can’t quite remember what it is at the moment.

On the frontier between comic theatre and clowning, Las gallegas presents a strange journey through death. Lolita
and Corina appear on the scene of their own funeral unaware of their new reality. “It’s not easy to learn to be dead”,
they say. This is the first production by this company founded in 2007, a work of corrosive humour directed by Àlex
Navarro and produced by Clownfish. It won the audience prize at the Feria de Ciudad Rodrigo 2008.

levision and street theatre projects. Now he presents Out!, a very
entertaining spectacle where the routine gets out of control and
turns into humour.
Un immeuble sur le point d’être démoli. À l’intérieur il y a encore un homme. Tout le
monde le cherche mais lui s’accroche à sa table, à son bureau, à son travail sans tra-
vail, un homme qui a peur de sortir de son univers, qui se réfugit parmi des archives
et des documents tamponnés mille fois et qui a un poisson comme seul collègue de
travail. Pere Hosta est un clown formé auprès de divers professionnels du genre (Pep
Vila, Claret Clown, Peter Gadish, Virginia Imaz...) qui a participé à des projets de té-
lévision et de théâtre de rue. Il présente maintenant Out!, un spectacle très amusant
où la routine est hors de contrôle et devient humour.
