LE GOUVERNEMENT FRANÇAIS SOUTIENT STRASBOURG, CAPITALE EUROPÉENNE. A l’occasion de la venue d’Emmanuel Macron, Président de la République, au Parlement européen, un contrat de 185 millions € a été signé entre le gouvernement français et les collectivités alsaciennes pour le financement, sur la période 2018-2020, d’équipements et d’opérations liés aux fonctions européennes de Strasbourg. La loi qui a créé l’Eurométropole de Strasbourg, a rendu obligatoire la signature de contrats triennaux destinés à permettre à Strasbourg de répondre dans de bonnes conditions à ses obligations de ville siège de grandes institutions européennes. Le contrat conclu le 17 avril, en hausse de 30 % par rapport au contrat précédent, vise essentiellement à poursuivre l’amélioration des conditions d’accueil à Strasbourg des parlementaires et des personnels des institutions européennes : renforcement des liaisons aériennes, construction à l’aéroport d’un nouveau pavillon pour l’accueil des personnalités, amélioration de la desserte du parlement européen en transports en commun.

The fruit of a partnership between the City of Strasbourg, 02

this year’s motto is “The plan is to fan this spark into a flame.”
(Hamilton, My Shot) Over the course of the two days,
8,000 young people will share their vision of Europe and
the challenges of the digital revolution and the need to share
resources fairly. The Europe Day celebrations – including
numerous public events at the Lieu d’Europe and the Jardin
des Deux Rives – will continue until 10 June, with the now
traditional Open Day at the European Parliament, an event
whose popularity continues to grow year after year.

Du 24 mai au 28 juin, Strasbourg accueille sur la place du Château une
exposition particulièrement originale, conçue par l’Agence française
de développement et Ars Anima qui mêle parcours scénographique,
théâtre et jeu de rôle. Nés quelque part est un parcours-spectacle qui
met en scène 21 destins aux quatre coins du monde, des rizières du
Cambodge aux collines colombiennes, de la périphérie de Casablanca à
la bouillonnante ville de Lagos, des plaines arides du Niger, aux denses
forêts camerounaises et aux atolls polynésiens. En interaction avec des
comédiens, le visiteur incarne un de ces 21 personnages, et découvre les
enjeux de femmes et d’hommes qui vivent, au quotidien, les défis liés
au développement durable et au changement climatique, ainsi que les
solutions qui s’offrent à eux.
BORN SOMEWHERE
From 24 May to 28 June, Strasbourg’s Place du Château will play host
to a highly original show curated by the French Development Agency
and Ars Anima, updating the classic exhibition experience with elements
of theatre and role play. Born Somewhere is an exhibition/show based
around 21 lives from the four corners of the world, from the rice fields
of Cambodia to the mountains of Colombia, from the suburbs of
Casablanca to the hectic heart of Lagos, from the arid plains of Niger
to the dense forests of Cameroon to the idyllic islands of Polynesia.
Visitors are invited to step into the shoes of one of these 21 characters,
interacting with professional actors to learn more about the lives of
men and women who are directly confronted with the challenges of
sustainable development and climate change on a daily basis, as well
as the solutions at their disposal.

MIROSLAV PAPA Miroslav PAPA est Représentant permanent de la Croatie auprès du Conseil de l’Europe depuis 2013.
