A smartphone app for the Osnabrück hill climb race
Just in time for the 2018 season, MSC Osnabrück has developed "Bergrennen OS", its own
smartphone app to keep motorsport fans, guests and drivers informed about the Int. 51st Hill
Climb Race Osnabrück on 4-5 August.
"Bergrennen OS" presents up-to-date information on the programme of the race weekend, ti-
cket prices, directions, accommodation and the partners of the race. Drivers will find a direct
link to the online entry system. The app also provides an easy way to contact the organiser via
telephone or e-mail.
For now the app is available for download in German and for users in Germany.

Juste avant la saison 2018, MSC Osnabrück a développé une application smartphone pour tenir les fans de sport auto-
mobile, les invités et les pilotes au courant sur la 51ème Course de côte Int. d'Osnabrück les 4 et 5 août.
L'application « Bergrennen OS » présente des informations actuelles sur le programme du week-end de la course, le prix
des billets, comment y arriver et où loger, et les partenaires de la course. Pour les pilotes il y a un lien direct au système
d'inscription en ligne. L'application permet également de contacter directement l'organisateur par téléphone ou par e-
mail.
Pour le moment, l'application est disponible en allemand et pour les utilisateurs en Allemagne.

New online entry portal
Drivers can now submit their entries for the Int. 51st Hill Climb Race Osnabrück on
4-5 August 2018 via the new online entry portal: https://www.tw-sport-
soft.de/Int_Osnabruecker_ADAC_Bergrennen_2018/
Based on a clear menu structure, the portal allows drivers to fill in their personal
and vehicle data online, replacing the traditional paper-based entry form. It also in-
cludes the supplementary regulations for the event with all relevant information
for drivers and officials. Anyone who is interested can watch the field of entrants, which will no doubt be very attractive
again this year, build up over the coming months. In 2018 the organisers would like to offer the fans and the drivers as
many practice runs and race heats as possible, and there will be room for 175 entries (plus 25 for the 6th E-mobile Hill
Climb Cup). Drivers should not hesitate to submit their entries on the online portal, which is available in English, German
and French.

luer le plateau, qui sera sans doute d'une grande qualité aussi cette année. En 2018, les organisateurs aimeraient offrir
aux passionnés et aux pilotes le plus grand nombre possible de manches d'essai et de course, et il y aura 175 places
(plus 25 pour la 6ème Coupe course de côte e-mobile). Les pilotes ne devraient pas hésiter à soumettre leurs engage-

Herbert Pregartner and his over 900 hp Porsche GT 2 R
At the Int. 51st Hill Climb Race Osnabrück on 4-5 August, the 6th round of the FIA
Int. Hill Climb Cup, the popular Austrian driver Herbert Pregartner will be present
with his beautiful Porsche GT 2 R. According to his website, the car has 911 hp -
perhaps not a coincidence? Herbert Pregartner has taken many prizes in the last
few years, including conquering overall victories. The car with its extraordinary de-
sign will again make an appearance at only a few select races in 2018 and will no
doubt again attract a lot of attention in the paddock and on the race track.

être pas une coïncidence ? Herbert Pregartner a remporté de nombreux succès ces dernières années, y compris des vic-

Darts tournament for the partners of the hill climb race
The first partner event accompanying the Int. 51st Hill Climb Race Osnabrück took place in
February. It was held in a special location, a former freight terminal converted into a festi-
val hall, and had a very special theme: around 100 guests were treated to British food pre-
pared by MSC caterer Manuel Wissmann, British draught beer and British live music and
were invited to take part in an e-darts tournament, with at the end a proper podium cere-
mony held by the head of the organisation team, Bernd Stegmann. To whet their appeti-
tes for this year's hill climb race, partners and sponsors were also briefed on the state of
the preparations for the August event.

Very popular also in 2018: the E-mobile Hill Climb Cup
This year will see the 6th edition of the E-Mobile Hill Climb Cup, the Grand Prix of
Stadtwerke Osnabrück, to be held at the Int. 51st Hill Climb Race Osnabrück on 4-5
August. The run on the 25 available slots has already begun. In the background, the
organisers are also liaising internationally to attract not only the most recent near-
road-going cars and the well-known exotic cars to Osnabrück but also a few very spe-
cial race cars which use the eco-friendly electric or hybrid technology.
Another attractive opportunity for drivers of electric or hybrid cars has been added
to the race calendar this year: the 56th Wolsfeld hill climb race near Bitburg in Germany, which is traditionally held at
Whitsun, will also include e-mobility classes for the first time.
Très populaire aussi en 2018: la Coupe course de côte e-mobile
Cette année aura lieu la 6ème édition de la Coupe course de côte e-mobile, le Grand Prix de Stadtwerke Osnabrück, qui
se déroulera à la 51ème Course de côte Int. d'Osnabrück les 4 et 5 août. Il y a déjà une grande demande pour les 25

mula 1 feeling. The 500 m straight at the start of the course beautifully showcases the
unique sound and speed of the powerful open formula cars, and the organisers of the
Osnabrück race are hoping for another good turnout at the 51st edition of their race.
Laszlo Szasz from Hungary has already promised to be there with his Reynard Zytek For-
mula 3000. The 51-year-old driver from near Budapest has a number of very good
friends among the German hill climb drivers and is always particularly welcome at Uphöfener Berg. The Osnabrück hill
climb race on 4-5 August will probably again be his only appearance in western Europe this year; he is usually a regular
at the national championships in Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina, conquering many overall victories. In
Osnabrück he will of course be facing strong competition, but as always he will be aiming for one of the top ranks.
