Top driver from France in the 6th E-mobile Hill Climb Cup
Nicolas Schatz, seven times French hill climb champion, overall winner of the
first FIA Masters edition in Luxembourg in 2014 and now a successful sports
car driver on the circuit, will be presenting an extraordinary project at his
German hill climb debut. In the 6th edition of the E-mobile Hill Climb Cup for
electric and hybrid vehicles, the Grand Prix of Stadtwerke Osnabrück on 4-5 August, he will be at the wheel of the "Flash
4", the fully electric sports car of the "e-Racing-Car" project. The Flash 4 was first launched in the summer of 2017, at
the Pavillon Royal in Paris, and is supported by noteworthy French sponsors. Nicolas Schatz will demonstrate the poten-
tial of the open electric sports car on the track and will also be happy to show it to media representatives and spectators
in the paddock.
Un ténor français à la 6ème Coupe course de côte e-mobile
Nicolas Schatz, sept fois Champion de France de la Montagne, vainqueur scratch de la
première édition du FIA Masters au Luxembourg en 2014 et désormais pilote performant
de voitures de sport en circuit, présentera un projet extraordinaire à sa première course
de côte en Allemagne. Lors de la 6ème édition de la Coupe course de côte e-mobile pour
véhicules électriques et hybrides, le Grand Prix de Stadtwerke Osnabrück les 4 et 5 août, il
sera au volant de la « Flash 4 », la voiture de sport entièrement électrique du projet « e-
Racing-Car ». La Flash 4 a été lancée à l'été 2017, au Pavillon Royal à Paris, et est soutenu
par des sponsors notables français. Nicolas Schatz démontrera le potentiel de la voiture de
sport électrique ouverte sur le parcours et la montrera également aux représentants des
médias et aux spectateurs dans le paddock.

sua prima gara in salita in Germania. Alla 6a edizione della coppa di mobilità elettrica in salita per veicoli elettrici e ibridi,
il Grand Prix di Stadtwerke Osnabrück il 4 e 5 agosto, sarà al volante della "Flash 4", la sport completamente elettrica del

A new top highlight: the Renault RS01
The Osnabrück race stands in high regard with the numerous drivers of the top-line
French hill climb championship. So there will be yet another French highlight on the
grid of the Int. 51st Hill Climb Race Osnabrück: Philippe Schmitter, 2016 French vice
champion and in third in 2017, will be there with the newly built Renault RS01, pre-
pared by the Team Petit. Philippe Schmitter competes not only in the French champi-
onship but is also starting in a few rounds of the European Hill Climb Championship.

La course de côte d'Osnabrück est très appréciée par les nombreux pilotes du prestigieux Championnat de France de la
Montagne. Cette année, Philippe Schmitter, vice-champion de France 2016 et troisième en 2017, sera présent avec la
nouvelle Renault RS01, préparée par le Team Petit. Philippe Schmitter participe non seulement au championnat de
France, mais aussi à quelques manches du Championnat d'Europe de la Montagne.

Stopping in Osnabrück on his farewell tour
A fascinating character of the German hill climb scene of recent decades is on his
farewell tour in 2018. For one last time Norbert Handa will be presenting his
around 700 hp strong, ultrafast Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo 3 at Uphöfener
Berg on the first weekend in August. Active in motorsports since 1976 nearly wit-
hout interruption, he will be retiring after the 2018 German championship se-
ason and hopes to go out on a high.
La tournée d'adieu s'arrète à Osnabrück
Un personnage fascinant du circus allemand de course de côte de ces dernières décennies est en tournée d'adieu en
2018. Pour la dernière fois, Norbert Handa présentera sa Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo 3 ultra-rapide qui a 700 cv en-
viron à l'Uphöfener Berg le premier week-end du mois d'août. Il a été actif dans le sport automobile depuis 1976 pres-
que sans interruption. La saison 2018 du championnat d'Allemagne sera sa dernière et il espère obtenir encore quelques
beaux résultats.

primo weekend di agosto. Dal 1976 è attivo nel motorsport quasi ininterrottamente. La stagione 2018 del campionato
tedesco sarà la sua ultima e Norbert Handa spera di ottenere ancora qualche bel resultato.
A donation for the local community
The village of Borgloh, where the Osnabrück hill climb race has been held since 1968,
is celebrating its 950th anniversary this year. As a recognition to the community which
has been hosting and supporting its race for the last 50 years, MSC Osnabrück has de-
cided that its habitual annual donation should go towards a local cause on this occa-
sion. Together with a donation from local banks, MSC Osnabrück's generous gift has
enabled the Borgloh historical society to install a fountain in a beautiful lake, only 3 km
from the race track, which was opened to the public a few years ago and which is
maintained entirely by local volunteers.

En reconnaissance du soutien de la communauté qui accueille sa course depuis 50 ans, MSC Osnabrück a décidé que son
don annuel habituel devrait aller à une cause locale à cette occasion. Les généreux dons de MSC Osnabrück et des
banques locales ont permis à l'association folklorique de Borgloh d'installer une fontaine dans un beau lac, à seulement
3 km du tracé de la course, qui a été ouvert au public il y a quelques années et qui est entièrement entretenu par des
bénévoles locaux

The 2010 and 2011 overall winner in a new sports car
Popular driver Guy Demuth from Luxembourg, the overall winner of the 2010 and 2011
Osnabrück hill climb races, is racing with a new open sports car this year. He has moun-
ted a +500 PS Judd engine in his beautiful Norma M20 FC and has got off to a success-
ful start in the European circus, scoring excellent 4th places overall at two rounds of
the European Hill Climb Championship: at Glasbachrennen in Germany and at Falperra
in Portugal. This makes the several times Luxembourg champion one of the podium fa-
vourites at the Int. 51st Hill Climb Race Osnabrück, and in any case Guy Demuth and his
team will definitely be adding to the good spirit in the paddock.
Le vainqueur scratch du 2010 et 2011 sur une nouvelle voiture de sport
Le populaire pilote luxembourgeois Guy Demuth, vainqueur scratch de la course de côte d'Osnabrück en 2010 et 2011,
roule avec une nouvelle voiture de sport ouverte cette année. Il a monté un moteur Judd +500 cv dans sa belle Norma
M20 FC et a déjà obtenu de beaux résultats dans le championnat européen, plus précisément d'excellentes 4e places à
Glasbachrennen en Allemagne et à Falperra au Portugal. Champion du Luxembourg à plusieurs reprises, il est donc
également l'un des favoris pour le podium de la 51ème Course de côte Int. d'Osnabrück, et en tout cas Guy Demuth et
son équipe contribueront certainement à une bonne atmosphère au paddock.
