basketball et athlétisme se préparent pour l'année prochaine, et nous

avons commencé à recevoir des inscriptions. Les entraînements auront lieu "Semaine Verte" pour la
deux fois par semaine à raison de 2x1h30; il est possible de cumuler les trois Journée Mondiale de
clubs à la fois, qui commenceront le 1er Septembre, dans le but de l'Environnement
préparer les équipes à un tournoi inter-écoles à Rangoun et à d'autres

athletics clubs are coming next year, and we already started receiving
registrations. Trainings will happen 2 times a week for 1h30 each, it is
possible to register for all three clubs at the same time; and the trainings
will start on September 1st, to prepare the teams to an inter-school 15 JUIN // JUNE 15

FESTIVAL DES ARTS BIENTOT AU LFIR // ARTS FESTIVAL AT LFIR SOON La Semaine des Arts à l'école, c'est du 8 au 12 Avril ! Le Jeudi 11, parents et enfants sont les bienvenus à la sortie des classes et des AES pour venir découvrir le travail artistique réalisé pour l'occasion en classe. Cette journée sera également le point culminant d'une semaine d'échanges entre les classes pour des ateliers autour de la bande- dessinée, des marionettes ... conclue par la visite de la galerie d'art à Pansuriya, dans le centre-ville de Rangoun. // The school's Arts festival will take place between April 8 to 12, with an exhibition on Thursday 11 at the LFIR. Parents and their children are welcome after class to take a look at the artistic work created during the past few weeks. This day will also be the culminating point of a week of artistic sharing between classes, with workshops of comics drawing, puppets... and concluded by the visit of the Pansuriya Art gallery in downtown Yangon. Vendredi 12 Avril, dernier jour avant les vacances, tous les élèves de l'école célèbreront la traditionnelle fête de l'eau. De la maternelle au lycée, chaque élève peut venir muni du pistolet à eau de son choix, et de préférence vêtu du t-shirt de l'école, puisqu'une photo de groupe tous trempés est prévue ! N'oubliez pas de prévoir un t- shirt de rechange si nécessaire. // On Friday 12th, last day before the Thingyan holidays, all the students will celebrate the traditional water festival. From primary to secondary cycles, every student can bring his/her favorite water gun, and wear the school's tshirt, so we can make a very wet group picture! Don't forget to bring spare clothes if necessary. INSCRIPTIONS AUX OLYMPIADES D'ESPAGNOL // REGISTRATION TO SPANISH OLYMPICS Le 2 Mai prochain auront lieu les premières Olympiades de langue espagnole (OLE) à la British School Yangon, et les 16 étudiants qui étudient l'espagnol au LFIR y participeront. Suite à un email envoyé aux parents le 22 Mars, beaucoup d'élèves ont déjà confirmé leur présence. Merci d'y répondre au plus vite si vous n'avez pas encore eu l'opportunité de le faire. Cet évènement majeur de l'année permettra aux élèves d'échanger en espagnol avec leurs camarades dans un cadre inédit. N'hésitez pas à contacter Maria-Jose Fraile à mariajose.fraile@lfir.org pour plus d'informations. // Next 2nd of May will be the first Olympic Games of the Spanish Language (OLE) at the British School Yangon and 16 students of LFIR who study Spanish Language will participate. Following an email sent to their parents on March 22, many students answered saying they would participate. Please confirm your attendance as soon as possible if you haven't had time to do it until now. We think will be a special day for the students, meeting other students and talking in Spanish. Please, do not hesitate to ask the Spanish Language teacher any question or further information at mariajose.fraile@lfir.org.

ENSEIGNANTS DE L'ECOLE !
Comme chaque année, certains membres de l'équipe, résidant en Birmanie depuis quelques années déjà,
décident de continuer leurs aventures dans un autre pays. Le LFIR leur souhaite donc une excellente continuation
et accueille en son sein de nouveaux enseignants. Avant même leur prise de poste à la rentrée de Septembre 2019,
l'école s'organise pour continuer les processus en cours, et la transition a déjà commencé dans les meilleures
conditions possibles.
Nous allons donc dire au revoir à Thomas, Joanna, Magali, Boris et Jérémy, en primaire, et Carine, Nadège et
Jacques en secondaire. Leurs remplaçants s'appellent Aline (CE2), Amandine (2nde - Histoire Géographie),
Guillaume (MSGS), Habiba (PS), Jean-François (CP), Marjorie (CE1), Nicolas (secondaire, mathématiques), Nicolas
(secondaire, Sciences physiques et technologie), Stéphanie (CM2) ... et Clémence sera également mutée ... Du
MSGS au CM1 !

Stéphanie HULOT
remplacera Jérémy Le Du qui rejoint sa famille en Finlande, et devient notre
nouvelle maîtresse du CM2 et coordinatrice du Primaire
Professeure des écoles depuis 2000, j’ai exercé jusqu’en 2007 en zone d’éducation
prioritaire, à Saint-Denis. Cette expérience a renforcé mon envie d’enseigner et a
déterminé mes convictions pédagogiques. L’enseignant doit faire preuve de
créativité pour stimuler les élèves et les valoriser en leur proposant des contenus
adaptés et des projets ambitieux.
En 2007, mon époux Nicolas et moi, sommes allés vivre au Vietnam; à Saigon. Au
sein du LFI Duras, nous avons participé à des projets pédagogiques innovants avec
les enseignants du primaire et du secondaire.
Ancienne élève du cours Simon, je faisais partie de la troupe de théâtre Le Petit théâtre de Saigon. J’ai su faire
partager mes passions à mes élèves, en écrivant et mettant en scène plusieurs spectacles et en organisant des
expositions.
La Birmanie, nous y pensions depuis longtemps …Nous sommes impatients de faire la connaissance de nos
élèves et de nos collègues. Avec l’équipe, nous vous préparons déjà (à distance) de beaux projets !
Nicolas HULOT
remplacera Carine Dupuy qui rentre en France, et deviendra notre nouveau
professeur de mathématiques en Secondaire
Professeur certifié de Mathématiques depuis 2000, j’ai débuté ma carrière dans
l’Académie de Versailles avant d’exercer au Vietnam de 2007 à 2017.
Curieux et soucieux de faire évoluer mes pratiques, je suis toujours partant pour
m’impliquer dans des projets dépassant le cadre de ma discipline afin de créer des
liens entre les mathématiques, sciences et humanités.
Je rejoins l’équipe du LFIR avec mon épouse, et nous sommes enthousiastes l’un
comme l’autre, de pouvoir contribuer à son rayonnement et à son développement !
(ENGLISH VERSION) WELCOME TO THE NEW TEACHERS!
Like every year, some members of the team, who have been living in Myanmar for several years already, decide to
continue their journey in another country. The LFIR wish them a very happy new beginning and welcomes new
teachers. Before their integration to the team in September 2019, the school is working on making sure the
current process will still continue without bumps, and the transition already started in the best possible
conditions.
We have to say goodbye to Thomas, Joanna, Magali, Boris and Jérémy, in primary cycle, and Carine, Nadège and
Jacques in secondary cycle. Their replacements are called Aline (CE2), Amandine (2nde - History and Geography),
Guillaume (MSGS), Habiba (PS), Jean-François (CP), Marjorie (CE1), Nicolas (secondary, mathematics), Nicolas
(secondary, Physics, Sciences and Technology), Stéphanie (CM2) .... and Clémence will also be reassigned... from
MSGS to CM1!

Stéphanie HULOT
will replace Jérémy Le Du, who joins his family in Finland, and will become our new
CM2 teacher and Primary cycle coordinator
School teacher since 2000, I worked until 2007 in Priority Education Zones in
Saint-Denis city. This made me want to teach more and shaped my pedagogy
convictions. The teacher has to show creativity to stimulate the students and make
them see their own value by proposing specific content and ambitious projects.
In 2007, my husband Nicolas and I, went to live in Saigon, Vietnam. At the LFI
Duras, we participated in innovative educationnal projects with teachers from
primary and secondary cycles.
Alumni from the Simon course, I was a member of the Le Petit Théâtre de Saigon theatre club. I shared my
passion with my students, through writing and directing several performances and welcoming exhibitions.
We have been thinking about Myanmar for a while... We can't wait to meet our students and our colleagues. With
the team, we are already preparing (from afar) some nice projects!
Nicolas HULOT
will replace Carine Dupuy, who is going back to France, and will be our new
mathematics teacher for the secondary cycle
Fully qualified mathematics teacher since 2000, I started my career at Versailles
academy before teaching in Vietnam from 2007 to 2017. Curious and always looking
to improve my techniques, I'm ready to get involved in projects above my teachings
to create links between mathematics, science and humanities.
I join the LFIR team with my wife Stéphanie starting 2019. We are both enthusiastic
to contribute to its influence and its development in Yangon!
