My Sister-in-Law, Lisa Morris, who I just found out has some hidden talents, painted the attached Artillery Crest on a rock as
a gift for my Dad, Eric Morris, Chief Warrant Officer and RSM 1RCHA (retired). He presently resides in a Care facility in
Lethbridge, Alberta. I am sure he will treasure this gift!!! As you may have gathered through our previous communications, our
family really love and respect our Dad for all he did in the service and as a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces in
peace-keeping duties during his 45 years in the military and 10 years as a civilian contractor. He was a Lower Town boy growing
up in Ottawa and I believe the Bytown Gunners were a significant influence for him to decide to pursue his career in the military.

Congratulations to Honourary Colonel Michael David
McKay, 11th Field Artillery Regiment, RCA, on
receiving a Chief of the Defence Staff
Commendation for his extraordinary efforts in helping
commemorate the sacrifices of Canadian soldiers by
spearheading initiatives to erect monuments to John
McCrae, author of "In Flanders Fields," in both
Ottawa and Guelph.
A ceremony was held on Wednesday July 27, 2020
at Canadian Forces Reserve Baracks Hamilton,
which was presided over by Brigadier-General C.J.J.
Mialkowski, Commander of 4th Canadian Division,

A: I’m glad to hear that you already subscribe to the monthly Canadian Gunner News. Once you’re a
member you gain access to the Member’s only portal and become eligible for discounted home insurance and
(in some provinces) car insurance. We’re just in the process of setting up an on-line members’ only store.
Q: How do my membership dollars help other Gunners?
A: Your membership allows us to produce the monthly Canadian Gunner News connecting the Gunner
Family across Canada and overseas. In addition, we provide several educational bursaries and support
Gunners in need through our Gunner Peer Support (GPS) program.
