Le centre récréatif comprend un aréna de patinage et de hockey avec service de cantine, une rampe accessible
nouvellement ajoutée, ainsi qu’un poste de visionnement. La salle communautaire est pourvue de capacités audio
et vidéo à la fine pointe ainsi que d’une cuisine équipée de tous les extras souhaitables. Le centre récréatif abrite
aussi quatre pistes de glace pour le curling avec salle entièrement rénovée.

A Canadian war hero was recognized in 2016 with the
installation of a bronze statue in Chapleau. Charles Byce,
born in Chapleau, was the most decorated Indigenous veteran
of World War II. Stop by the corner of Beech and Young Streets

the community. Take a tour of the town and see how our story has been
captured by creative and talented individuals. For more information,
visit the Centre Culturel Louis-Hémon at 69 Birch Street. While you are
there, take some time to look at the Louis-Hémon showcases. It can be viewed all year
(June to August - by appointment only).

SIGNIFICANCE
A building as distinctive and prominent as the Nicholson Hall accurately reflected the public honour for
