LETTER FROM THE MAYOR & THE RESORT
LE MOT DE M. LE MAIRE &
DE LA STATION
We are particularly proud to welcome the European Snow Pride in our resort
for the 7th year in a row.
Tolerance and respect are key values for us. On several occasions we have
been demonstrating our commitment to these values: invitation to our
resort of the first same sex married couple in France, signature of the chart
against homophobic discrimination in sports, organization for the 5th year
in a row of the Gay pride of Tignes, the only one to take place in a ski resort
worldwide. Most recently, the city council unanimously voted Tignes' candi-
dacy for the label "FRIENDLY" rewarding communities with a voluntarist
policy and adopting the right actions towards diversity. This label will be
awarded during the Pride of Tignes.
If it were still necessary, we want to let you know that you are welcome in
Tignes.
We also hope that you will be seduced by our resort with its top facilities, its dynamic local life and of
course its fantastic ski area. We are convinced that all these assets, combined with the know-how of the
organizer, will allow you to spend a fantastic week in Tignes.
The whole city council and the actors of the resort join us in welcoming you and wish you an excellent
European Snow Pride 2019.
Nous sommes particulièrement fiers d’accueillir la European Snow Pride
pour la 7ème année consécutive dans notre station.
Années après années, notre engagement sur les valeurs de tolérance et de
respect se traduit par des actions concrètes : accueil sur notre station des
premiers mariés homosexuels en France, signature de la charte contre l’ho-
mophobie dans le sport, organisation pour la 5ème année consécutive de
la Pride de Tignes, la seule marche des fiertés en station d’altitude. Tout
dernièrement, le conseil municipal a voté à l'unanimité la candidature de
Tignes au label "FRIENDLY" récompensant les collectivités ayant une poli-
tique volontariste et qui adoptent les bons réflexes à l’égard des diversités,
label qui lui sera attribué pendant la Pride.
De quoi vous convaincre, s’il en était encore besoin, qu’à Tignes vous êtes les bienvenus.
Outre l’accueil qui vous est réservé, nous espérons que vous apprécierez notre station, ses infrastruc-
tures, le dynamisme de sa vie locale, et bien sûr son domaine skiable d’exception.
Autant d’atouts qui, alliés au savoir-faire de l’organisateur, vous permettront, nous l’espérons, de passer
une très bonne semaine parmi nous à Tignes.
L’ensemble du conseil municipal et des acteurs de la station s’associent à nous pour vous souhaiter la
