EXPLORE • ESCAPE • RECHARGE • VISIT SEINE-&-MARNE 2020 Edition tourisme.seine-et-marne-attractivite.com
1 E xploring, getting away from it all, recharging your batteries... Visiting Seine-et-Marne is like going to the discovery of an unexpected heritage, culture and terroir. This new magazine’s edition invites you to dive into the heart of a multifaceted county, which will seduce you with its tourist offer that is both diverse, rich and singular. An area that will whet your appetite for adventure or outdoor exercise, on foot, by bike or on the water. But our county also appeals to the imagination, with a unique heritage ranging from prehistoric times to contemporary history. A county that is a source of well-being, too, providing peace and quiet for a few days in the countryside, in our well-preserved villages. This year across the county, there have been a number of new sites opening and existing sites reopening after renovation work: Parrot World in Crécy-la-Chapelle will take you on a journey into the biodiversity of South America, and after 15 years of renovation, you can now come back to the Saint-Ayoul Priory in Provins, to see the thousand-year-old historical site with your own eyes. 2020 will also be marked by the completion of a project to improve the attractivity of the area, led by a partnership of a number of key players across the territory, to create our own brand which will be the signature of Seine-et-Marne. It will allow us stand out across the whole territory, by revealing the hidden treasures and talents of the area! In the meantime, this magazine is full of tips and ideas to go out: let yourself be tempted! A selection concocted by our tourist offices boards, whose advisers remain at your disposal available to help find you the activity, visit or event that will make your stay unique.
