A propos de Convergences Créée en 2008, Convergences est une plateforme internationale de réflexion, de plaidoyer et de mobilisation en faveur des Objectifs de développement durable et de la construction d’un monde « Zéro Exclusion, Zéro Carbone, Zéro Pauvreté ». Sa mission est de rassembler les acteurs du changement de tous les horizons afin de susciter la réflexion et l’action, de diffuser des bonnes pratiques et de favoriser la co-construction de par- tenariats innovants à fort impact sociétal. Convergences s’appuie sur plus de 200 organisations partenaires, représentées au sein de ses Groupes de travail, pour co-construire le Forum Mondial Convergences, éditer des publications, développer des projets autour de la jeunesse et du numérique, et organiser des débats et rencontres tout au long de l’année en France et à l’international. Depuis 2017, répondant aux besoins des écosystèmes nationaux, sept Forums Convergences ont été organisés en Afrique du Nord et Afrique Sub- saharienne, en Amérique du Sud, en Asie et en Europe. Convergences relies on more than 200 partner organisations represented within its working groups to co-organise the Convergences World Forum, which gathers more than 5,000 participants every year, to write studies and publications, and to organise events throughout the year in France and abroad. Les inégalités sont au cœur des débats nationaux et internationaux de l’année 2019, figurant notamment aux agendas du G7, de
l’Union européenne et des Nations Unies. De fait, à l’heure des grandes transitions et des grands défis, la conciliation des impératifs économiques,
écologiques et sociaux apparaît plus que jamais comme l’un des enjeux les plus cruciaux de notre temps. Nous plaçons donc naturellement la question
des inégalités au centre du 12e Forum Mondial Convergences.
Face à l’urgence absolue que représentent les inégalités dans le monde, comment dépasser ensemble le simple constat ? Notre rencontre est l’oc-
casion de penser collectivement des modes de transitions durables et inclusives, qui prennent acte à la fois du caractère global des crises que nous
traversons, mais aussi de la pluralité des formes qu’elles adoptent localement.
Cette 12e édition du Forum Mondial Convergences se veut le catalyseur et la caisse de résonnance d’initiatives développées à toutes les échelles,
partout dans le monde. Il revêt une dimension internationale sans précédent, notamment dans la mesure où nos partenaires des sept forums Conver-
gences qui se sont déjà tenus à l’étranger nous font la joie d’être avec nous. Rejoins par bien d’autres acteurs du changement du monde entier, ils
échangeront sur des solutions concrètes et croiseront leurs expériences.
Avec eux, Convergences vous invite à rejoindre l’Alliance Mondiale 3Zéro, qui incarne et porte notre ambition pour la construction d’un monde « Zéro
exclusion, Zéro carbone, Zéro pauvreté ». Creuset des solutions locales qui émergent et se déploient aux quatre coins de la planète, l’Alliance Mondiale
3Zéro permet d’étendre la portée de notre mobilisation collective et de nos actions respectives, pour contribuer à accélérer la réalisation des Objectifs de
développement durables (ODD). Elle s’ancre sur la remarquable capacité de mobilisation des écosystèmes nationaux et locaux – particulièrement de
la société civile. Notre ambition se nourrit d’une conception renouvelée de l’action humanitaire et de développement, ainsi que de l’innovation sociale,
qui fait le pari d’une intelligence collective réellement mise au service de l’action.
Nous ne pouvons que nous réjouir de la convergence des consciences et des agendas que nous observons dans l’ensemble des secteurs de l’éco-
nomie et de la société, et que nous appelons de nos vœux depuis la création de Convergences. La puissance transformative du dialogue et de l’action
décloisonnée n’est plus à démontrer, il importe à présent de mettre ces principes au cœur même de toutes nos interventions.
Ce Forum Mondial Convergences est avant tout le vôtre. Qu’il soit le point de départ de nouveaux engagements, de nouveaux projets, de nouvelles
coopérations. Avec vous, nous ne ménagerons aucun effort pour voir se réaliser notre ambition commune d’un monde Zéro Exclusion, Zéro Carbone,
Zéro Pauvreté.

Inequalities are at the heart of national and international debates in 2019, notably in the G7, European Union and United Nations
agendas. In fact, when it comes to great transitions and challenges, the conciliation of economic, ecological and societal imperatives appears, more than
ever before, to be one of the most crucial issues of our time. We therefore place this matter at the core of the 12th Edition of the Convergences World
Forum.
Faced with the absolute urgency of inequalities in the world, how can we overcome them together? Our gathering grants the opportunity to collectively
think about sustainable and inclusive transitions that bring into consideration the global nature of the crises we are facing today and the plurality of forms
under which these transitions may translate into at the local level.
This 12th edition of the Convergences World Forum aims to serve as a catalyst and a sounding board for initiatives developed at all scales throughout
the world. It will bring forward an unprecedented international dimension, with the presence of our partners from the seven Convergences forums held
abroad. Together with other changemakers from around the world, they will share and exchange their experiences and the concrete solutions they
have developed.
Alongside these partners, Convergences invites you to join the 3Zero Global Alliance, which embodies and carries out our goal to construct a world with
“Zero exclusion, Zero carbon, Zero poverty.” By upholding local solutions which emerge and spread to all four corners of the world, the 3Zero Global
Alliance expands the scope of our collective mobilisation and action, to foster the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The
Alliance leans on the remarkable capacities of local and national ecosystems coming particularly from civil society. Our ambition reflects a new approach
to humanitarian action and development, as well as social innovation, which depends on a collective intelligence strongly willing to act.
We are overjoyed by the convergence of consciousness and agendas that we witness throughout economic sectors and society, which we have called
for since the creation of Convergences.The transformative power of dialogue and inclusive action has been proven, and needs to be put at the heart
of all our operations.
This Convergences World Forum is just as much yours as it is ours. May this forum be the starting point of new engagements, new projects and new
collaborations. With your help, we will spare no effort in constructing a world with Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon, Zero Poverty.
