À Contaut était implanté le Centre de Formation
Maritime d’Hourtin (CFM). Construit entre 1925 et
1939 pour accueillir des hydravions, il est ensuite
devenu, jusqu’en juin 2000, un centre de formation
pour les appelés de la Marine Nationale.
C’est grâce à la Mission d’Aménagement de la Côte
Aquitaine qu’Hourtin Port voit le jour dans les années
80, avec son port de plaisance parfaitement intégré
dans cet espace sauvage.
Did you know? The Centre de Formation Maritime of Hourtin (CFM)
was located in Contaut. Built between 1925 and 1939 to accommodate
seaplanes, it was used as a training center for conscripts of the French
Navy until June 2000. Thanks to the «Mission d’Aménagement de la Côte
Aquitaine», Hourtin Port was created in the 1980s, with its marina that has

Le phare de Cordouan (inscrit sur la liste du
patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO), situé sur la
pointe de l’estuaire de la Gironde, est le plus ancien
phare de France encore en activité. Il continue
d’être habité à l’année par des gardiens et ouvert
à la visite.

Roi des phares », il se distingue des autres phares
par une architecture grandiose et une histoire hors

Sea Fly est situé au départ de la jetée du port d’Hourtin sur la côte
Nord-Est du lac. C’est le point de départ idéal pour découvrir le plus
grand lac naturel d’eau douce de France avec nos bateaux à moteur,
avec ou sans permis, de 6CV à 300CV.
Sea Fly is located at the start of the Hourtin harbour jetty on the North-
East side of the lake. It is the ideal starting point to discover the largest
natural freshwater lake in France with our motor boats, with or without
licence, from 6HP to 300HP.
