February 2017 James Molesworth 91pts Pouilly Fumé « Signature » 2015. Focused, with a core of white peach, honeysuckle and gooseberry notes, framed judiciously by light brioche and blanched almond hints. Offers a long, focused finish.
91pts Sancerre Blanc « Signature » 2015. Has a ripeness uncommon for the AOC, featuring creamy-edged melon and pear notes backed by more typical hints of gooseberry, verbena and wet straw. Shows lovely mouthfeel and length, with an echo of flint at the very end.

April 2017 Neil Martin 91 pts Métis Klein Constantia 2016. The 2016 Metis Sauvignon Blanc is a wild ferment with no settling or enzymes, a little SO2 added just after fermented. It has an attractive bouquet: gooseberry, Granny Smith, a suggestion of wild mint and fennel. The palate is well balanced with more weight and volume than the Sauvignon Blanc, notes of gooseberry, kiwi fruit and a touch of lemon zest, fanning out in satisfying fashion on the finish.
June 2017 Josh Raynolds 90pts Sancerre Rosé 2016 Light orange-pink. Lively, mineral- accented red berry and orange zest scents and a sexy touch of honeysuckle on the nose. Juicy, nicely concentrated and sharply focused, offering vibrant cherry and blood orange flavors underscored by a vein of dusty minerality. Shows very good focus and suave florality on the zesty finish, which hangs on with strong tenacity.
89pts Attitude Rosé 2016 Limpid pink. Fresh red berries, orange pith and candied rose scents show good clarity and lift. Clean and racy on the palate, offering juicy strawberry, bitter cherry and blood orange flavors that open up slowly on the back half. Finishes with good focus and length, leaving a spicy white pepper note behind.
August 2017 Alain Lebel 91pts Pouilly Fumé 2015 Toujours très bon ce Pouilly-Fumé. J’ai l’impression qu’il est un brin moins tendu, un peu plus en rondeur et en courbe depuis quelques années. Bref, un peu plus féminin si j’ose dire. C’est en 1987 que Pascal Jolivet fonda la Maison qui porte son nom pour y élaborer des vins vinifiés de façon traditionnelle, n’utilisant pour ce faire que des levures naturelles. D’une grande élégance, aérien et minéral à souhait, ce Pouilly Fumé dévoile des parfums de fruits blancs, de pêches blanches, puis d’agrumes escortés par des parfums floraux. On est rapidement conquis par la pureté du Sauvignon, sa finesse, sa maturité et sa fraicheur. La bouche se distingue par la délicatesse du vin dès l’attaque avec sa trame tendue et minérale. L’ensemble s’avère harmonieux, alors que la finale est absolument rafraichissante et savoureuse.
91pts Sancerre Blanc 2016 Elégance, volupté et féminité sont les mots clés de ce superbe Sancerre signé Pascal Jolivet. Encore une fois avec ce nouveau millésime, ce vin s’avère d’une finesse exceptionnelle témoignant ainsi du savoir-faire de la maison Jolivet. Très typé Sancerre, ce sauvignon fruité, velouté et friand, affublé d’une trame aromatique aussi complexe que raffinée, évoque les agrumes, les pommes et les poires, entrelacés par de superbes notes florales. En bouche, l’attaque est nette et engageante, le vin est sec et très équilibré, proposant une touche minérale et s’exprimant sur des flaveurs de fruits frais qui sont suivis en milieu de bouche d’une jolie vivacité sur des notes plus typées d’agrumes et de fleurs. Bref, un vin à la fois aérien, ample et séducteur, d’une impressionnante pureté, qui se termine sur une savoureuse finale.
August 2017 James Suckling 92 pts Métis Klein Constantia 2016. Grassy but not overly herbaceous and in check with delicious thyme and sage. Full and flavorful body that shows precision and refinement as well as depth.
93 pts Sancerre Blanc « Sauvage » 2015. A deep and rich white with lots of dried-pear and apple character in addition to a subtle flint undertone. Full body, dry and flavorful.
