Producer in Focus Emidio Pepe A s far as new releases are concerned, our latest delivery from Abruzzo was highly anticipated... three new releases have arrived from the Emidio Pepe estate and we're more than excited to have them in our hands! Introducing: 2018 Trebbiano D'Abruzzo 2019 Pecorino 2018 Montepulciano D'Abruzzo The Trebbiano is warm and sunny, and it might remind you of the 2015, 2010 or 2007. The Pecorino on the other hand is the result of a much colder and rainier season, which brings what a lot of people call "the Pepe cold vintage white" with the backbone, saltiness and richness that the variety always brings. The Montepulciano is warm and has a tight weave and tannins which need time, but has all the right components to develop into a beautiful bottle in a few years. In addition to these, we've also received new arrivals of some of the most sought- after vintages in the Pepe portfolio. From 2015 & 2013 Trebbiano D'Abruzzo to 2010 Montepulciano we're fully stocked with all the very best so you can truly explore the depth of vintages the estate has to offer. Famous for their ageing potential (largely thanks to the "reductive manner" in which they are made), it's always a great pleasure to receive vintage releases of wines we have enjoyed over the years. Pepe wines have an extraordinary capacity to age with character and elegance, mainly due to their minimal exposure to oxygen.
