Environnement – Création d’un nouveau comité consultatif sur
l’environnement composé de neuf sièges dont un réservé au maire
et un autre au directeur général. Les autres membres sont: Lee
Patterson, président; Pierre Fortier, Pierre Morin, François Paré,
Donald O’Hara, Alan Eastley et Jessica Adams.
Sécurité publique – Création d’un nouveau comité sur la sécu-
rité nautique de sept sièges dont un est réservé au maire et un
autre au Directeur du Service Incendie de la Ville. Les autres
membres de ce comité sont: Gerry Moar, président; Gabriel
Lagacé, Peter Gibbons, Robert Vaillant et Reine Boisvert.
Travaux publics – Le nettoyage du site Moffat est commencé.
La ville demande au Centre de service de Foster du MTQ la per-
mission d’effectuer les travaux requis aux égouts et au système
d’aqueduc ne dépassant pas 10 000$.
Loisirs, Culture et Vie communautaire – La Clinique médicale
deVLB demande l’aide financière annuelle de 10 000$. La Bourse
d’excellence Massey-Vanier est accordée (1 000$) Le Centre de
pédiatrie sociale «Main dans la Main» reçoit 5 000$ de la Ville.
Économie locale et Tourisme – Vente par la Ville d’une partie
de la rue Eugène pour 4 200$. Embauche d’une coordonnatrice au
tourisme, Julie Dyotte, en poste le 15 février, travaillera avec
Loisirs et Services Communautaires et la Chambre de commerce.
Deuxième période de questions – Un citoyen demande de for-

Townshippers’ Day
returning to Brome

Building on last year’s success, the annual Townshippers’ Day
will return to the Brome fairgrounds on September 17, 2016, from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year’s festival will be hosted by the Town of
Brome Lake, with the assistance of Brome Village and West Bolton.
The 2015 event was such a huge success at helping to promote
Brome and the Townships to more than 4,000 visitors from both
English and French-speaking communities across the region, that
320 Iron Hill members of last year’s organizing committee were eager to volun-
teer to work together again.
