Foundation
a Fondation Metropolis bleu, créée en 1997, est un
organisme à but non lucratif, situé à Montréal et enregistré comme organisme
de charité. Sa mission est de réunir des gens de différentes cultures et langues
afin de partager le plaisir de lire et d’écrire, permettant ainsi l’éclosion de la créativité

Linda Leith Depuis 14 ans, Metropolis bleu produit un large éventail d’activités littéraires novatrices
pour un public de tous âges et horizons dont :
• Le Festival littéraire international qui se déroule à Montréal en français, en anglais
et dans plusieurs autres langues ;
• Le Festival des enfants, consacré à la littérature jeunesse, destiné aux 12 ans et
moins et qui se déploie dans les bibliothèques et maisons de la culture du grand
Montréal ;
• Des rencontres littéraires et des ateliers d’écriture publics et en ligne ;
• Des programmes éducatifs à l’échelle du pays avec un souci de rejoindre les
communautés éloignées ;
• Des prix, bourses et autres honneurs pour souligner l’excellence dans le domaine
littéraire.
Metropolis bleu peut maintenir son engagement inébranlable envers l’intégration sociale
et la diversité en produisant des activités littéraires du plus haut niveau grâce au soutien
continu de ses bénévoles, donateurs, commanditaires, partenaires institutionnels et
gouvernementaux.
Blue Metropolis Foundation is a Montreal-based non-profit and charitable organization
founded in 1997. Its mission is to bring together people from different cultures to share
the pleasures of reading and writing, nurturing creativity and intercultural understanding.
For 14 years, Blue Metropolis has organized several innovative literary activities for an
audience of all ages and backgrounds, including:
• The International Literary Festival, held in Montreal in French, English, and several
other languages;

• The Children’s Festival for children up to 12 years old, held in libraries and cultural
centres across Montreal;
• Public and online writing workshops and literary gatherings;
• Educational programmes across Canada that attempt to reach isolated
communities;
• Awards, grants and other prizes meant to highlight excellence in the literary world.
Blue Metropolis is able to keep its firm commitment to social integration and diversity
by organizing top notch literary activities thanks to the support of volunteers, donors,
sponsors, and government and corporate partnerships.

It has been quite a year, quite an adventure! Here we are, about to
launch our 14th festival, the first for the new team that I have been leading
